The front desk put us in a room directly across from the elevator, and insisted on not changing it. constant people passing by and elevator noise, their only solution was ear-plugs, very disappointed in the service and lack of flexibility on the part of the staff.

My head hasn’t even hit the pillow yet and I’m already annoyed.
Heads up:
*NO PARKING
Street parking is restricted - and you might want to drop your luggage off first (especially if it’s pouring - like tonight) , unless you’d like a workout.
*Elevator does not go all the way to 5th floor - which worked out for us. After our room key didn’t work TWICE on the 5th floor - we were give another key only to carry all our luggage BACK down to the 3rd floor.. which brings me to
*the half-hour song and dance at check-in, it took forever. We got a “be right back” sign at the front desk upon arrival and I just wanted my key. Have someone cover!
I was tired and I just wanted the delicious Mexican food I picked up at the food truck down the way (review to come) which was cold.
Oh, walls are also super thin. To the guy who’s staying in room 518 tonight who is also afraid of relationships and long-term commitment, I wish you luck. You’ll have more than I had in my first hour here.
P.S. You don’t even get free water here. This is basic and should be provided. I stayed at a motel yesterday and got free water and tons of snacks.
Update: Response from the business is a big nothing-burger.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights. Overall, the place is nice, clean, and cozy, with a lovely vibe. The location is great—very close to everything and right in the city center. The staff is generally polite and friendly.
However, there was a negative experience on the day of check-out. Around 8:00 a.m., an older woman—possibly the manager, since she didn't have a cleaning cart or appear to be housekeeping—knocked on our door to check if we had already left, and she was doing the same with other rooms. This happened well before 9:00 a.m., even though check-out time is 11:00 a.m. Knocking on guests’ doors that early is inappropriate and doesn’t respect the check-out policy.
Overall, it’s a nice place, but this was a disappointing way to end the stay

We had a pleasant stay at a very charming hotel with a beautiful vintage vibe. Our trip was a bit short, but we truly enjoyed it. The room was clean; however, due to the low temperatures, the windows were leaking water, which caused the floor to get wet.
What really stood out was the kindness of the staff.
Ben at the front desk was extremely helpful with great recommendations and suggestions on places to visit.
The young housekeeping lady on the 4th floor was always smiling and very helpful, and the bartenders (whose names I unfortunately don’t remember) made wonderful cocktails.
I also loved seeing the fireplace lit in the morning, adding warmth and a cozy feeling to the lobby.

The location of this hotel is honestly perfect you’re close to everything and it’s very convenient for getting around. Parking, however, was definitely a challenge and something that could be improved.
My room itself was very clean and well taken care of, which I really appreciated. Before checking out, I left a $20 tip in the room for housekeeping. A few minutes later, I realized I had forgotten my bag and went back to the room. Housekeeping had already started cleaning, so I mentioned to the lady that I had left a tip for her. She told me she hadn’t seen any tip, which felt really strange.
I’m not sure who checks the rooms right after guests leave, but the idea that the tip I left for housekeeping might have been taken by someone else didn’t sit well with me. I’m unsure if I would stay here again, but if I do, I’ll definitely hand the tip directly to housekeeping next time.
