This hotel was one of the more unique places we’ve stayed. At first the layout felt unusual, long hallways lined with columns every 10–20 feet, but later we learned the building was a converted historic silk mill, which made everything make sense. The renovation does a great job preserving the character of the building, including antiques from the mill and even the old water tower structure outside. The property feels new and well maintained while still keeping its history intact. Our room was smaller than a typical hotel room, but perfectly comfortable for two people. My biggest hotel test is always the shower, and this one passed easily: excellent water pressure and simple controls (a surprisingly rare combination). The bathroom overall looked beautiful, even if the showerhead itself looked older, which honestly may explain the great pressure. A couple honest notes for future guests: the bed itself was surprisingly noisy, even just rolling over made more sound than expected. We also had a room facing the road, and while traffic noise was noticeable when awake in the room, it didn’t keep me up at night. Light sleepers may want to request a room on the opposite side of the hallway. The pillows were typical budget hotel pillows, big and fluffy at first but completely flat by morning, so sleep quality wasn’t amazing for me. Comfortable enough for the stay, but I definitely needed a nap once I got home to my own bed. The hotel does offer complimentary breakfast, which was better than a standard continental setup. They had eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, and the usual breakfast items. It was good and convenient before heading out for the day, though nothing particularly memorable. Parking was free and easy. They do offer EV charging onsite, though pricing seemed high, so we charged elsewhere. Overall, a charming and unique stay that adds character to your trip rather than feeling like a generic hotel experience, just consider bringing a favorite pillow if you’re picky about sleep.

Wish I could give 0 stars! Where do I begin? The Hotel itself is cute but this not a place to stay if you are a business traveler. The hotel gym is not accessible to use before 6 am and if you are trying to get a work out in before work you might as well get a gym membership or stay elsewhere. The breakfast is subpar. Forget it if your lactose intolerant because there is cheese in every egg dish. The juice machines were broken. The King suit is small and cramped if two of you are trying to work. The worst part and the reason I am never going to stay here or recommend this place is the way the staff treated me. I extended my stay for one extra day 24 hours before my stay and was confirmed ( and paid) to stay in the same room and on said day the office staff called my phone 7 times while I was seeing patients, and left a message that I need to get my stuff out the room. They said that my room was not confirmed and they would need to move me to a smaller room. I told them this was there mistake and I was seeing patients till 7 pm and could not come back to the room. The office staff continued to argue with me and said she need to ask the other customer if they would " downgrade" because I wouldn't move my stuff. EXCUSE ME, you mean I am responsible for their mistake? In the end I stayed in the room for the night but not before the office staff continued to keep me on the phone for 10 minutes to argue.

This is a very good reuse place to stay. The decor is of Petaluma and the surrounding area. Small details make this a perfect place. 15 ft ceilings! Such a cute, beautiful, place.

Hampton Inn Petaluma is the ideal accommodation for experiencing downtown Petaluma CA. This convenient location contributes to guests' experiences for both tourists planning road trips and residents without needing extensive travel. The city center, Mystic Theatre, and restaurants are within walking distance of the hotel. The Petaluma Village Premium Outlet is just a few miles away. Overall, this hotel offers everything we expected. Self-parking and breakfast are complimentary. The hospitality from the staff is professional and excellent. We especially appreciate the breakfast buffet experience here. I liked the waffles the best. The dining area is cozy and relaxing as well. I have one small suggestion. If you can choose, we do not recommend that you stay in a room facing the main road. Because the room seemed louder and very annoying with vehicles passing through, particularly at midnight.
