A very interesting kiosk for checking in. I’ll admit, it really didn’t bother me that it was someone remote checking me in. The entire process was just as efficient as a live person. Probably the only thing I felt was missing was a list of amenities and the times that they are available. Otherwise, not a bad experience.

Best Western excellent room great breakfast buffet nice and quiet rooms are very clean. The people are very friendly but I could do without the computer check-in. Whatever you call it every time I try to check in or have a issue the guy on the screen or whoever’s on the screen Takes forever to solve the problem to check in or check out takes a long time the one time where the lady behind the counter helped me it took less than two minutes. I believe next time I will look for a Best Western that doesn’t have this feature.

Everything was extremely good, except for the service. When arrive to check in, I was greeted by a machine with a person's face and not a human. I'm not sure if it was AI or a real person. The human connection is so very necessary, especially in today's day and age. On top of that, the machine only gave hotel acesss for 1 day instead of two so I had to go back to the front desk and thankfully, there was a nice woman their who told me that I could always request for a person. I feel I should not need to request a person when a person should readily be available. Lastly, the sausages at breakfast were not fully cooked and looked raw.

The check in here sucks. It doesn’t work having a remote person check you in on a video screen. They couldn’t get the damage deposit to work. There’s an employee on site but only comes out when needed. The rooms smells a little of old pet/old smoke smell. Didn’t bring anything inside so as few things as possible are exposed. The noise from trucks with altered exhausts is very often and is loud enough to make this a last visit here. I don’t recommend this place other than an emergency stay.

Updated review after my nigh stay: I woke up this morning after a rough sleep because of all the noise from the freeway. When I woke up there was no water. I called the front desk and they said that the water will be turned off until 1:00 p.m. I asked when I checked in last night why nobody told me they said that there was a sign posted. Honestly, if you're renting a hotel room that would probably be information that would be useful to be spoken to rather than just a sign that I did not see. So my five rating star is going to be now at 2. Coming to a hotel and not being able to flush the toilet or take a shower or brush my teeth seems really ridiculous. I needed a place to stay for the night while visiting family. I picked this hotel because it was close and the price was good. I will say the virtual check-in was a little weird at first, but the lady was really nice. I believe her name was Ally she was really nice and really helpful. With a happy attitude. The room was nice and clean. I love the fact that it had a microwave and a refrigerator since I could go get a dinner and cook it myself. I think the only downfall was I had to slam the door to make it lock, also, I don't know if the floors were recently clean, but the carpet was a little bit damp. Luckily I had slippers with me. But other than that it was a nice room and the bed was really comfortable. If I'm ever come to Petaluma again. I will make sure to stay in this hotel.
