Hotel
The Saguaro Palm Springs is a colorful hotel in the desert. There's plenty of sunshine, a buzzing pool scene, and lots of local flavor. The 244 room hotel has multiple restaurants, bars, and meeting spaces -- all of which surround a stunning pool location. Designed to reflect the colorful vibrant spirit of the Coachella Valley desert, the bold color palette is the work of renowned architects Peter Stamberg and Paul Aferiat, who have infused the property with hues that reflect indigenous desert flowers.

The place is outdated and in need of repairs. The pool was so dirty it had a film and obvious debris. I brought it to the attention of hotel staff, asking when it would be cleaned, and they shrugged their shoulders and stated that “a lot of people were in it” today, and they didn’t know when it was cleaned??
Front desk staff were generally unfriendly.
I had a lot of fun with my friend despite the cons, but this place could use a lot of improvement!

The Saguaro Palm Springs sells a bright, retro-desert vibe, but unfortunately, our stay felt more worn-out than whimsical.
Our room looked like it hadn’t been meaningfully updated in years. The furniture was heavily scuffed and tired, giving the space a neglected feel rather than a vintage one. “Retro” only works when it’s intentional, this felt like deferred maintenance.
Basic amenities were surprisingly difficult to access. We had to hunt around the property to find an ice machine that actually worked, which shouldn’t be part of the guest experience at any hotel, let alone one at this price point.
The pool area, supposedly the centerpiece of the property, was equally disappointing. The lounge chairs were old and visibly deteriorating, and the pool towels were thin, frayed, and in some cases ripped. For a Palm Springs hotel that positions itself as a pool destination, that was a major letdown.
Service didn’t help improve the experience. Staff interactions felt cold and unhelpful, and our room wasn’t serviced until we called to complain. Having to request basic housekeeping isn’t something you expect on a getaway weekend.
The colorful exterior may photograph well, but behind the bold paint is a property that feels overdue for attention. At a lower price point, expectations would be different, but for what we paid, this stay simply didn’t deliver.

Genuinely shocked this has a 4.0 average. The pictures of the lobby and pool are cute. In reality, there is no staff, no supplies and the rooms are filthy. The only service we got to our room was new towels. No cleaning, no new cups (called the front desk and they said they didn’t have anyone to bring them), tiles are missing and peeling, pool chairs are so dirty you need two (ancient and dirty) towels to cover them. The WiFi barely works, all three ice machines I found were out of order. All of this would honestly be fine for a $50 a night motel but when you spend $1k to spend a long weekend it’s honestly ridiculous.

I stayed at The Saguaro Palm Springs for four nights this week, and it was a deeply disappointing experience from start to finish.
The front desk staff could not have cared less about guests coming and going. No welcome. No energy. No sense of hospitality whatsoever. It set the tone immediately.
I was thankfully advised to book a larger balcony room facing the pool — and I did. While the location and size were decent, the sofa/daybed in the main living area was broken and completely unusable. For a four-night stay, not being able to sit comfortably to relax or even watch television is unacceptable.
The property overall is in very poor condition. The once-fun, colorful aesthetic you see in photos does not match reality. The pool area felt tired and neglected. The towels were frayed and smelled heavily of bleach. Everything felt worn down.
I attempted to dine at the on-site restaurant twice. Both times the service was so inattentive and disorganized that I walked out before ordering. Twice.
Don’t let the pictures fool you. What looks vibrant online feels run-down and poorly managed in person.
Palm Springs offers far better options at similar price points. I would not return.

What a great hotel! Lealani at the front desk was super helpful our entire stay. Room was super clean and the pool or even just walking around was really great. Loved the borrow a bike amenity too. They put so much thought into the design and amenities and the staff are all super friendly and helpful. I loved staying here. I made the mistake of staying at The Renaissance once and it was awful and unclean but I was so glad Seguaro was a completely different experience and was a 10 out of a 10 for me! Pup loved it here too by the way and the doggie bag stations were great to be able to use! Saw other cute pups during our stay too! But seriously please tell Lealani we said thank you for making our stay a breeze!
