    I stayed at this hotel from June 7-11 for business. It’s a great location, just a few steps from the College subway station, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. While the hotel itself is a bit outdated, I noticed some rooms are under renovation. Overall, the service was great, but the pre check-in process was a bit disappointing. I arrived around noon, which I know is early for check-in, but the receptionist didn’t even bother to check if there was a room available. It was a quiet time, so I asked to leave my luggage here so I could go for lunch. She didn’t help me at first, and I had to stand there for about half an hour waiting for the bell service to take my luggage. I understand if she was busy, but she just stood at the counter without helping anyone. I’m glad the late afternoon team was great when i returned back to check in. Housekeeping was also great to keep the room and replace bottle of water daily. much appreciated. The room is great, but the dresser drawers can’t open inside the closet. It’s a design failure.

    I didn’t stay here but I ate across at the sushi restaurant and I just wanna say the outside of the building rlyyyyyyyy irked me cause it was so disgusting looking like damn the sushi didn’t even become the focus anymore it was how ugly the building was 😭 the bottom floor look so beautiful but you look up slightly and it’s like the crustiest moulding concert box all the window blinds are uneven it’s so disgusting I almost cried 😭😭 the restaurant across the street is really good if you want to try some local sushi I would recommend that restaurant over this hotel. I read some of the other reviews tho and the staff seem nice so there’s that but the outside sooooo ugly

    Dear Management. We had wonderful time wef 30th May to 12th Jun'26 at suite-1809 in your hotel. Our room assistant Paulette was extremely kind,cooperatuve n polite. Members working at front desk was generous n cooperative. Specially Mr Ali was very helpful for us. We enjoyed the breakfast but sometimes appeared monotonous. There is still room to improve specially the menu. Service people were very decent. Hope to see you again around August '27. Best wishes. Thank you.     I visited this Holiday Inn location on June 8th and had an experience that was concerning enough that I feel it needs to be documented. After a 2 hour long commute, I attempted to use the restroom before meeting my daughter for lunch. The restroom door was locked, which is unusual for a hotel lobby, so I approached the front desk to ask if I could use it. The staff member did not greet me or treat me as someone simply asking a basic question. Instead, she asked if I had an account. When I said no, she told me she could call my guest and that "he" could come down. ..... "HE" ... could... come down ... The assumption behind that comment was inappropriate and unprofessional. I was meeting my daughter, not a man, and nothing about my behavior suggested otherwise. She then said she needed "manager approval" for me to use the restroom. She left, returned without anyone, and did not offer any explanation. It felt as though the intention was for me to give up and leave. The entire interaction made me feel judged and stereotyped for no reason. I was calm, respectful, and simply needed a restroom after a long commute. I understand that this location may have had issues in the past, but projecting those assumptions onto strangers is not an acceptable solution. It is not the responsibility of the public to carry the weight of a hotel’s history. I was dressed normally, behaving normally, and asking a reasonable question. The way I was spoken to made me feel uncomfortable and mischaracterized. I book hotels regularly and have never encountered this type of treatment at any other chain. Even if nothing comes of the complaint I made to customer service, I felt it was important to share this experience. No one should be made to feel unwelcome or suspicious for walking into a hotel lobby and asking for basic access. I will not be recommending this location to anyone I know. **** Response to management: Thank you for the response. I appreciate the acknowledgment, but I want to clarify that my concern was not simply about the washroom being locked. The issue was the way I was spoken to and the assumptions made about why I was there. I asked a straightforward question about the locked door and was treated as though I was doing something suspicious. I was also told “your guest can come down,” with the assumption that I was meeting a man, which was not the case. I understand safety policies and I respect them. My concern is how those policies are communicated and how people are treated when they ask for clarification. Best;

    I had a very disappointing experience during my 3-night stay at this hotel with my family. From the beginning, the air conditioning in our room did not work properly. It would automatically slow down and stop cooling effectively, making the room uncomfortable, especially during the night. The most concerning issue was finding a cockroach in our room. When I immediately reported it to the front desk, the staff apologized and moved us to another room. While I appreciated the room change, I was surprised that the response was limited to a simple "sorry" given the seriousness of the situation. As a family traveling with children, finding a cockroach in a hotel room raised serious concerns about cleanliness and hygiene. After the room change, I continued to express my concerns and had to complain more than once before the hotel finally acknowledged the impact of the incident and refunded the cost of one night's stay. Although the room was changed and a one-night refund was eventually provided, it did not make up for the discomfort, inconvenience, and concerns for my family's well-being during our stay. For a hotel that should prioritize guest comfort and cleanliness, this experience fell far below expectations. Based on my experience, I would not recommend staying here and will not be returning in the future.
