Belligerent Gatekeeping at the Front House — Took My Business Elsewhere I was actively trying to arrange a premium stay at this property, but the front house and receptionist culture completely killed any desire I had to spend my money here. The first impression was a textbook example of hostile, corporate gatekeeping. When I called to inquire about specific room details, the main receptionist subjected me to what felt like an aggressive security audit. Before they would even consider connecting me to the front desk, I was grilled with questions: "What is your name?" "Why are you calling?" "Why are you asking for this person?" "Who are you?" They did everything in their power to block me from speaking to the front house, repeatedly trying to dump me back into a generic reservations queue. It was insulting, borderline belligerent, and incredibly unwelcoming. When I finally did get through to management on subsequent calls, two separate managers were entirely unhelpful and hid behind the exact same rigid, defensive scripts. The contrast with other luxury properties is staggering. I had a fantastic first impression with the Four Seasons Resort Whistler, which actually understands high-end hospitality. Even compared to luxury properties like the Hazelton Hotel & mega property Fairmont Royal York (their Fairmont Gold), operations deliver a far superior sense of value and a completely different league of customer relations—warm, welcoming, and entirely devoid of this elitist pretense. I eventually just gave up and took my business to a premium property that respects my time. The irony is that the food and beverage teams at d|bar and Café Boulud are excellent—professional and agile. But when core rooms management treats a pre-booking inquiry like an interrogation, the brand value proposition is completely broken. Save yourself the headache and book a modern lifestyle hotel or go where hospitality is actually valued.

5 stars all around. First of all the responsiveness and professionalism of this staff is exceptional. Whether the online messaging platform or in person - tremendous customer service. The breakfast experience was truly wonderful. Food, ambiance and how well we were taken care of during the meal. The Conceirge and bell service some of the best I’ve ever experienced. And the most comfortable bed and pillows I have ever experienced at a hotel. And we stayed for our anniversary and want to thank the hotel for making it special.

My stay at the Four Seasons Hotel Toronto was nothing short of perfection. From the moment I stepped into the elegant lobby, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. The room was exquisitely designed, offering breathtaking city views and every amenity one could wish for. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. Dining at their on-site restaurant was a culinary delight, with impeccable service and delicious food. The spa facilities were a sanctuary of relaxation, and the staff went above and beyond to make my experience memorable. This hotel truly embodies luxury and exceptional service. I cannot recommend it highly enough and eagerly anticipate my next visit. Five stars across the board!

I had a lovely first experience at the Four Seasons Spa. I booked the salt stone massage with Rhonda on a cloudy and chilly June afternoon, and it was a wonderful experience. Everything was on time with no delays, and Rhonda was very professional throughout the treatment. She continuously checked in, asked for my feedback, and made sure I was comfortable. I’m usually a fan of firm pressure massage, but this one was good too; it’s a medium pressure, so I’d recommend that for those who can’t stand firm pressure. It was my first time trying a stone massage, and I really enjoyed it. The spa itself is beautiful, clean, and well maintained. The pool is a good size for a relaxing swim, the heated jacuzzi was great, and the terrace area was a lovely place to spend time. I had lunch there with a glass of Prosecco, and although it took around 40 minutes for the food to arrive, it was worth the wait. The ingredients were fresh and everything tasted great. If you are on a tight schedule, I would recommend confirming timing with the team beforehand. I also really appreciated the small details, clean showers with eucalyptus mist, fresh towels, a great tea selection, snacks, and having a staff member welcome me and show me around since it was my first visit and the spa layout can be a little confusing at first. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that later in the day the pool atmosphere changed. There were children playing in the pool with lots of toys, splashing, jumping, and being loud; it did change the calm and relaxing ambience that I experienced when I first arrived. I personally was okay with it since I was leaving soon anyway, but it’s something to keep in mind if you are looking for a very quiet spa environment and you maybe need to search for adults only spa. Overall, I had a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

Well, I've lived in Toronto all my life, and frankly live not far from this Hotel. For years, I've heard it boasted as the place to see and be seen, by celebrities no less...the Cristal was chilled and the orchid was tall that I ordered for the room and it was downhill from there. The Chef's tasting menu indelicate to say the least, when a warm cup of fat/foie gras is the first course as if an amuse bouche, and a vivid red slap of venison the Crown at the end, you might as well go to George. I am genderfluid. The accommodations for any kind of diversity are a joke, the space I was given to change for the spa and pool (very cold) entirely lacking, second rate. After filling out forms for the spa, explaining that my right ankle is fused together, the staff twisted my right foot abruptly causing me pain. The location is surrounded by condos, there is no privacy with the claustrophobic view of the City strangling The Four Seasons. The atmosphere is bland, and sterile. I could not tell my left from my right, I prefer The Royal York with its classic landmarks. The club at The Four Seasons is decidedly a meat market, not a place for a romantic dance to say the least. At the end of the day, about The Four Seasons I say = been there, done that, wouldn't waste another dime on the disappointment, thanks.
