  The location is excellent. I found the rooms and the restaurant good. The overall feel of the hotel is one of tiredness and a former glory. Some of the plug sockets did not work. Logistics and communication around the transfers are an issue and one needs to call to be picked up. Staff can be argumentative.

  This was my first time ever stepping foot in Canada, but my very first experience in this country was defined by hostility, discrimination, and a complete lack of professionalism at this hotel. The Incident: I arrived at 11:50 PM on April 25 after an exhausting journey. I was checking in under a "Friends & Family" booking. The night auditor (Asian female) insisted on a physical authorization form. Even after I showed her the official Best Western policy stating these forms are no longer required (see attached image.png), she stubbornly refused to honor the rules for over 30 minutes. Aballing Behavior: Hostility: When I reiterated the policy, she literally rolled her eyes and stomped her feet at me. Negligence: She repeatedly ignored me to serve other guests and kept my family member (the booking employee) on hold for 10 minutes when they called to clarify the policy. Public Humiliation: She openly complained about me to a male colleague right in front of my face. Discrimination: I witnessed a stark difference in her attitude; she was courteous to Caucasian guests but aggressive and dismissive toward me. Conclusion: I spent over an hour in the lobby past midnight, mentally and physically drained. While she eventually admitted the form wasn't needed, she never offered a single word of apology. As someone who just arrived in this country, this experience was deeply scarring. I don't want an apology for myself; I want the management to ensure urgent and rigorous staff retraining so that no other traveler—especially someone's first night in the country—is ever treated with such blatant disrespect again.

  Great hotel for a few reasons: it’s very close to the airport, the planes fly directly overhead which is actually really cool to watch, the included breakfast has good options, and the beds and rooms are very comfortable. A couple of downsides: the rooms facing the front of the hotel can be quite loud due to the low‑flying planes, so light sleepers may want to request a room on the opposite side.

  Only reason for the three stars is because of the incredibly friendly lady at the front desk when we checked in, and the cost for our stay was good. Aside from that there were a few issues: 1. Floors were very scratched up in our room, stains on the lampshade 2. Shuttle Drivers were incredibly slow (we were often told it would be a 10min wait and we’d wait 25-30 mins) 3. Other front desk staff (aside from the lady mentioned) were very unapproachable and not friendly. Very brief and sometimes rude 4. We were told we’d qualify for the $50 gift card promo because of our stay , but when I inquired with best western customer service, I was told I had to register beforehand (spoiler alert, they gave it to me as a 1 time courtesy and it’s only good till Aug 2) Honestly, after this stay, I don’t think I can recommend anyone staying here. It’s not worth the savings. Spend a bit more and have more consistent and quality service

  First off - huge thank you to the staff here. Easily the highlight of the stay. Everyone I interacted with was super accommodating, helpful, and genuinely willing to go out of their way to make things easier. That kind of service goes a long way, especially when you’re dealing with travel fatigue. I stayed here because of the location - right by YYZ - which makes it incredibly convenient for both arrival and departure. It’s honestly one of the closest Best Western options to the airport, so from a logistics standpoint, it’s a solid choice. Now for the hotel itself… this is where things get a bit mixed. “Premier” is supposed to be a step up from “Plus,” but in my case, it felt like the opposite. The building is definitely showing its age. Think old, slow elevators - and yes, having to switch elevators just to get from the 3rd to the 4th floor felt like a mini adventure I wasn’t expecting. The rooms were okay - nothing terrible, but not quite what you’d picture for a “Premier” label. The showers, in particular, are starting to show their wear. So overall: amazing staff, solid amenities, unbeatable location near the airport—but the building itself is overdue for a serious refresh. If they update the property to match the level of service, this place would be a no-brainer. BTW - I noticed that they charge you extra for overnight parking.
