  Editing review from having written it two days ago... watch out for this place! I got my bill after we left and I was charged $399 for one night! (apparently it's double on a Saturday night... In all my years of travelling I have never come across such a ridiculous policy!!!!!) For the life of me I don't understand why this place has above a four star rating! Was definitely not told that upon booking it as I would never have paid that much for one night! ALSO: It's a boutique hotel so be aware that it's difficult access. (some of the worst I've ever come across)(Look elsewhere if you are mobility challenged) When we arrived there was no typical lobby entrance where you can park your car and check in. Instead you're basically walking into a bar/restaurant which was very busy past the restaurant check-in to the hotel check-in. When I was checking in I asked her where my partner should park and she wouldn't answer me until I was done with the check-in process. My partner had to drive around the block a couple times during this. Very stressful! Then the parking in the back is quite a ways away from the rather crappy back entrance which is situated beside garbage bins and the signage is poor from the back street. We were on the second floor and yet I was dragging suitcases up 3 flights of very steep and narrow stairs getting in the way of the women's washroom which was constantly in use located right beside the door requiring the key card. (too bad there isn't some seperation between the 2 doors) I had decided to go the back way up even though I was offered help mainly because the front was just too busy and I didn't want to get in peoples way... I was extremely relieved when I had all our baggage finally up into the room. (not travelling very light with our dog) I was unhappy to see there was no microwave and a TINY fridge. Also very poor water pressure with the water temp fluctuating dramatically. Also one of the tiniest showers I've ever used... just enough room to stand. Such a dichotomy: Very comfortable bed and the room is extremely charming! food from the restaurant is amazing and other than the check-in experience I had, the staff are very friendly! Ideal location in the heart of eveything very close to a beautiful river park/walk.

  Wonderful hotel with parking behind and a great restaurant! Rooms at the front of the building can be quite loud as they overlook the restaurant patio and street.

  We recently stayed at this beautiful boutique hotel for a mini babymoon! They were nice enough to upgrade our room, giving us a wonderful bath tub and more space, as well as a delicious carrot cake to help us celebrate. In terms of location, the hotel has one of our favourite restaurants in the city with its brilliant Asian fusion dishes. We had an excellent lunch and breakfast there. All the staff are so pleasant and helpful. The hotel is close to many other pubs, restaurants, shops, and outdoor spaces. We highly recommend staying and eating here!

  Great 14 room boutique hotel in the core downtown area, close proximity to several dining, pubs and retail establishments. 5 minute walk to the Avon Theater. Parking ($15 daily) specific to the number of hotel rooms, directly behind the hotel off Cobourg Street. Rooms are very comfortable, king premier in our case, with all amenities desired. Bar fridge microwave, Nespresso, kettle, fireplace, lots of comfortable pillows and quiet area. Note stairs to rooms 2 & 3rd floors. Superb bar and restaurant main floor at entrance to hotel. We will return.

  Stayed here for a couple nights, the beds were so comfy! Just be aware there is no elevator. We had breakfast downstairs at the restaurant... SO Delicious! Highly recommend. Very convenient location, it's close to everything and glad there is parking.
