  We got stuck in the elevator for an hour, and missed our train. The manager Melody was there when the fire department got us out and offered to cover the cost of our stay and an additional free night at our next destination. She was very empathetic to the scenario and handled it exceptionally well. We felt very well taken care of. Thank you Holiday Inn Ottawa East!

  I stay at Holiday Inn one to two nights a week, and this was my first time at this location. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience from the moment I arrived. When I first tried to check in, my room wasn’t ready. Over the next hour, I watched several other guests check in while I continued to wait. When I returned to the front desk after an hour to ask again, I was told to keep waiting while they helped others first. As an IHG One Rewards Gold Elite member, I expected at least basic courtesy and fair treatment. Waiting an hour and a half while others were checked in ahead of me was unacceptable. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience left a very poor impression. Stained sheets, blood stained towel. I also never expect compensation for this sort of stuff, however I will be expecting it this time.

  I stayed at this hotel last week for 4 nights and was incredibly impressed. General quality and cleanliness were on par with what I expect from Holiday Inn (my usual default when travelling). But what totally floored me is how kind all the staff were: Samir in the dining area was one of the friendliest, most accommodating, and most earnestly helpful servers I have ever had. He greeted us every morning and made our day instantly start on a good vibe. The dude just radiates positivity and his service was 10/10. Carlos the restaurant manager was just as helpful and came by our table every morning to ensure our every little request was met and every detail was perfect. I have never felt so looked after and fussed over in my life. You’d think I stayed at the Ritz - that’s how good these gentlemen represented their hotel. Whitney the Operations Manager came by because I had heard a preferred rate may be available for my business-related booking. She took care of it for me and came back again to close the loop and ensure I got the best rate. We also made some small talk and she was just a 10/10 human being. So professional but so friendly and relatable too. Tyra at the front desk helped us with checkout and she was also marvelous. Super friendly, fast, and professional. I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. It will 100% be my default choice when visiting Ottawa again.

  The stay at this location was good. I liked the location which was just 7-8 minutes drive from my work place. The room was just about the right size with a great view. The parking was great as well, lots of spots to use. This can get packed over the weekends. The pool and gym facilities are good as well if you ever want to try them out. They also provide a membership free of cost which you can then use to redeem points at various holiday inn locations.
