  My daughter and I had an absolutely wonderful and heartwarming stay at the Holiday Inn Downtown Parliament Hill. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and helpful, making us feel genuinely cared for right away. A very special thank you to Mohammad Salah, whose exceptional kindness and attentiveness truly made our stay unforgettable. His outstanding service went above and beyond, and because of him we will absolutely be returning on future visits. The hotel was spotless, beautifully maintained, and very comfortable throughout our stay. I was also honoured to be selected as “Guest of the Day,” which was such a thoughtful surprise.This experience exceeded our expectations in every way. Highly recommended.

  I stayed at the Ottawa Holliday In hotel on February 13. I paid for parking underground but upon returning to my hotel at 3 AM and -25° weather I was not able to park in any spots and they told me to park outside across the street that it would be fine and they would refund me the parking fee. But I got a ticket from the city and when I brought it to the front desk they said don't worry if I dispute it they'll cancel it because I don't live in Ottawa. Well Idisputed it and now they're requesting the only way is I come back to the city to dispute it. So in any case I am stuck with a parking ticket after paying the hotel for underground parking and being given faulty advice on it being no big deal. The hotel took three months to respond to my emails and still refuse compensation. There was no need to lie and continue giving me the runaround.

  We stayed Sat-Mon during Tulip starting Festival. They offer in site parking but the price it's a little bit expensive. We love to walk so we let our car 19-20min far (Ottawa city hall garage) half price and we took the publics transportation options: subway, bus.. with the 2 in 1 daypass.

  This hotel is not what you may expect, if you have any standards at all. Upon arrival I couldn't get a early check in 1hr before my check in even with paying for it. The gym is situated in a after thought location so if you are looking to maintain a healthy life style it will be underwhelming to say the least. The restaurant offers limited options and the food is just bad. The location is not downtown and if that is downtown I am not looking forward to my next trip to Ottawa. In summary stay away!

  Extremely disappointing and honestly frightening experience at Holiday Inn Ottawa Downtown Parliament Hill. I booked this stay 5 months in advance and clearly requested a room close to the elevator due to a leg injury and mobility limitations (I have a valid handicapped permit). When I checked in, I confirmed this with the front desk and was told my request was honored. It was not — I was given a room at the farthest possible distance from the elevator. When I went back down, I was told the hotel was “fully booked” and nothing could be done. Later that night, I returned to the front desk and discovered that this was not true — there were available rooms closer to the elevator. What happened next was completely unacceptable. A staff member named Lamine began yelling loudly at me in the lobby, repeatedly raising his voice and refusing to address the issue. His behavior escalated to the point where he stepped out from behind the desk, raised his hands aggressively, and made me feel genuinely unsafe. Even worse, he started yelling at children in the lobby, telling them to “go to your room” and that it was “past your curfew.” The kids were visibly scared, and everyone in the lobby could hear him shouting. It created a very hostile and disturbing environment for all guests. No one should be treated this way — especially not when asking for a basic accessibility accommodation that was requested well in advance. This hotel failed in customer service, accessibility, and basic professionalism. I would not recommend staying here.
