I had the pleasure of staying at the Crown Plaza Kitchener for 2 weeks while working out of town. Their staff from the sales manager, front desk and even housekeeping delivered an exceptional stay. I highly recommend this hotel to both business professionals or families looking for amazing accommodations. The gym is very clean and has a good setup, The pool was relaxing after a long day and the bowling alley beside the arcade was also a lot of fun. Thanks to the whole team and ill be seeing you soon!

We enjoyed our stay. Everything was comfy and clean. The pool was great. And aqua restaurant fantastic especially with gluten free options. All staff were excellent to deal with.
Our only complaint was the accessible room for my mom, 89 years old, uses a walker. We were promised a walk in shower, low bed, high toilet. The shower was great but thats it. We had to invent a bed for her from the pullout couch(used 2 mattress) and brought our own high toilet seat (just in case) . It was difficult but staff were apologetic and our maid helped by getting the extra blankets we needed.
We did book through third party.....next time will definitely try and book directly.❤️

My stay at the Crowne Plaza Kitchener-Waterloo was amazing.
The hotel is gorgeous, with lots of amenities. The room we stayed in was clean and comfortable.
The morning breakfast buffet was the highlight. The food was amazing (there is a chef who will make you crepes or omelettes on the spot - so cool). Carol and Vishnu were amazing, making sure we had everything we needed.
The service was phenomenal and I would 100% come back and recommend others enjoy a stay here. Thank you!!

I read a lot of reviews prior to going. Even though I felt people were likely whiners trying to get free stuff, I was still a little nervous. Truth is I feel bad for the hotel. It seems no matter what they do, people are upset and they try to weaponize their reviews for freebies/compensation. I guess i look at things differently than most. Of course problems can occur. You should only judge them on how fast they fix it, IF it can be fixed.
Now for a truthful review. I stayed with my kids (13 and 11) just stayed there April 7th to 8th for an MRI
The hotel is beautiful. The staff is also very polite. Everyone we talked to. Front desk read off my request to not have to walk alot so they put me in a room right next to the elevator due to my mobility issues (hence the MRI). Our room had a fridge and microwave and also came with big bottles of Shampoo, conditioner wnd soap attached to the wall so no need to bring your own. Beds were comfortable and we slept great. Had no issues with temperature as others mentioned but the room had windows that opened so i dont understand that. The room came with the breakfast buffet and it didnt disappoint. Bacon, eggs, sausage, hashbrowns, omelette station, fresh fruit, cold cereal, hot cereal and so much more. What a great way to start the day before travel home. As someone with mobility issues and a single mom it was nice to get us all fed before being on the road. I also appreciated the business center which allowed me to print off previous tests to bring to my MRI and there was no charge for it.
Now the cons but they might not apply to everybody. If you have mobility issues and are traveling alone id probably recommend staying elsewhere due to parking/check in. Its not easy. Luckily I unloaded my luggages at check in and left my kids there with it while I went to go park my car. I had to drive down an alley to the parking garage. Due to my disabled parking permit I was able to park right near the gate, but if you dont have one and the hotel is busy be prepared to walk. Even with a permit if you have more luggage than you can handle its not easy to walk to the back door. A big garage door type door came down (likely to keep cars safe) and the only exit was a small body sized gate. Then cross the alley to the other side to the back door to enter the hotel. The door is heavy and not automatic. Then you have to go up stairs before entering another heavy door to get you inside. Then what surprised me was when I tried to return to my car and re-enter through that gate, it was locked. I used the intercom to ask how to get in. I had to walk back about 30 feet to enter using the keycard to access the parking garage. Parking garage is also very low. I have an SUV and i kept thinking i was going to crash. Not sure trucks can fit there. If you are with family thay can leave you at the front desk with your luggages, than id still recommend this hotel. Its gorgeous and affordable.
The other con and this one did bug me a little.
We rented this hotel due to the arcade/bowling/mini putt. The bowling was out of order. Most machines were out of order. There is a sign that says its operated by a 3rd party but the front desk said the bowling has been down about a week. And other reviews mention a lot being out of order too months ago. So this hasnt been fixed in a timely manner. So im judging them for that. Because this was the whole reason we rented the hotel and i brought my kids. Its misleading to advertise it on the website if youre not going to make efforts to keep it operational. I have another MRI end of June in kitchener and I dont know what to do. If I bring my kids, if I come back to this hotel? Will the arcade and bowling be fixed by then? My kids were excited for all that and ended up being really bored. There was also swimming lessons in the pool all day which was odd.
