  I’m a bit wary of two-star hotels, but this felt more like a three-star hotel, with a small pool, hot tub, fitness room, carpet free rooms, free self-serve laundry, and spacious breakfast area with lots of hot options (including a self-serve pancake maker that makes flat pancakes with a texture like glutinous rice crepes). Coffee maker and mini fridge in room too. Firm enough bed (not counting the sofa bed) and clean room - the bathroom caulking are white. Located by the 401 and walking distance to shops like Shoppers Drug Mart and Dollarama. 10-minute drive from downtown. Perhaps it’s the location, but it seems to be popular with sports teams. Staff are often seen cleaning up and shooing young people out of spaces they’re not supposed to be in. Only thing is the in-room air conditioning unit is quite loud, but thankfully we didn’t need to turn it on too much. Room was facing the main entrance (not the highway so maybe would have been noisier on the other side). Can also occasionally hear other noise from the hall or elevator. Parking is $6 a night. Overall, quite happy with the stay and would consider booking it again next time.

  Google says 2 star hotel and it sounds about right. Pool area needs some love. Took a picture of the ceiling in the pool area. Feels old and worn down and the bathrooms in the rooms and towels are about the same. Beds were ok. Breakfast is a buffet but quantities limited. Gave me vibes of cuba where they just run out of stuff. I like holiday inn for the buns and couldnt get those and then the pancakes ran out and this was around 9am when breakfast closed at 10. Dont you guys plan for your guests? 6 bucks for parking and they tell you to remove your valuables because its not safe. Well cant you hire a security guard overnight or monitor the lot if your charging me 6 bucks for a hotel in the middle of nowhere? I dont mind paying the 6 bucks but at least provide some effort at securing vehicles while at your lot. Not worth staying here. I've stayed at other holiday inn and got much better so they are not all the same.

  We personally loved the experience here! Friendly, clean, lovely decor, spacious, complimentary breakfast, very comfortable beds, air is fresh everywhere and air in rooms is adjustable! Many services/amenities close by!

  WOW! I’m so incredibly disappointed and angry with the experience I just had with the holiday inn Kingston central location! I booked a hotel this morning before leaving Niagara Falls , I was told it would be PREPAY, because I was booking the hotel on the same day that I would be staying which was fine, asked if I could give my visa debit because I was just leaving a hotel from Niagara so the transferred money from my bank to credit card was not yet posted onto the credit card itself and would not be for 24 hours.. I was very clearly told it was fine but there would be a larger security deposit which again, was fine with me. We drove ALL THE WAY from Niagara to Kingston only to be told by the woman up front that she doesn’t know why the “ booking line “ told me this because they can’t accept visa debit , I checked my account to see the money hadn’t been taken out as I was told it would be, I told her I had been told it was fine and explained again that the money is not yet posted . I asked if I could just prepay the hotel now and she said no . Because it’s a visa debit they weren’t able to give me the room. So I once again explained to her that my 4 YEAR OLD , husband and I drove from Niagara to here , booked and acknowledged a larger security deposit, and now I was being told too bad,! Then she told me she won’t charge me for a no show ! Well damn well you won’t ! I wasn’t a no show, you’re refusing to give me the room. What king of joke is that… in the end , she redirected me to the Marriott !! Well, They don’t have space , which is understandable given it’s 9:15 pm on a Friday, and now have to drive to OTTAWA again with my 4 year old, after having spent the whole lovely afternoon/evening in Toronto traffic, only to be turned away after having already booked, and held the room ! If it was a damn problem why send me booking confirmation, why accept it, and why on earth do you have a booking centre that apparently can’t give the same information as the front desk…. I will NEVER book with this specific location ever again! That’s Absolutley ridiculous that you will not help your own customers after YOUR BOOKING CENTRE , confirmed my booking and said everything was fine ! Absolutely ridiculous.

  Talking to front desk was like talking to a wall at the time I was there. There were never any towels in the pool area and the maintenance guy seems like he hates his job. Lol the cleanliness of the rooms, however, was immaculate and well put together. The layout of the rooms are spacious. Tvs are big! Beds are comfy. Maybe bring a pillow.. the pillows are not that comfy. I definitely recommend staying here and everything you need is across the street and walking distance. :)
