  Check in was wonderful very friendly staff. Upon entering the room I figured out almost all of the switches. The lights automatically come on as you enter the bathroom and automatically turn off after a few minutes, you can turn lights on and off manually also. I feel there should have been some literature regarding all the switches, I mean I figured all but two of them out. It is also noteworthy to become a rewards member I was able to get a half hour later check out at no extra charge, you can get up to 2 hours more but someone else needs this room today so all good. You can stream from your device to the TV if you want to watch Netflix or prime movie as channels are basic but good enough. The bed was super comfortable and I got a good night's sleep. The closet had an ironing board and Iron and nice wooden hangers. The bathroom had a decent hairdryer and Dove products at the sink and shower. There are USB outlets as well as regular outlets, I feel being a newer hotel (2019) they should update so they also have USB C outlets just because these days most devices have USB C, but that is not the end of the world. Breakfast starts at 6:30am until 9:30am Monday to Friday and 7am to 10am Saturday and Sunday, lots of food, eggs, sausage, beans, pastries, yogurt cereal fresh fruit, bread, bagels all the conduments, tea coffee, the breakfast staff were lovely too. The breakfast area was quite empty at 6.25am so I sat down at the table to eat but you have the option to take it to your room. There is a chair near the window with a lamp which is nice, I feel that a nice.little table would be nice there for setting down a drink a book or laptop or for if you want to sit.by the window to eat, just a suggestion. I highly recommend this hotel.

  I stayed one night at Holiday Inn Express Kingston West during a weekday. The hotel was clean, and well maintained. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. My room was very clean, and the furniture looked new and modern. The hotel was also quiet, which made for a peaceful night’s stay. There were a few drawbacks. The in-room fridge was completely empty, and there wasn’t even a complimentary bottle of water. The only refreshment provided was a coffee maker with three coffee pods. Unfortunately, I did not find the mattress comfortable and woke up with back pain the next morning. Another issue was that the water pressure and temperature were not stable during my morning shower, which made it less comfortable than expected. The breakfast was the biggest disappointment. The selection was very limited, consisting mainly of pork sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, potatoes, and some soup. As someone who does not eat pork, I found very few options available and barely found anything to eat. Overall, I did not enjoy the breakfast. Overall, the hotel was clean, quiet, and staffed by friendly people, but the uncomfortable mattress, unstable shower water pressure and temperature, and poor breakfast experience made my stay less enjoyable than I had hoped.

  Went to the wrong one Holiday Inn Express. Regardless, nice business centrer and free coffee with all fixings. Immaculate washrooms just off the lobby area. Can't comment on the rooms or service. Front desk completely ignored me. Perfect. 😃

  I’ve stayed here before and had an excellent experience, but unfortunately, very disappointed this time around being a gold member. I called ahead of time because all of the other hotels in the area were sold out to make sure that there was a room available and that I was having extremely late check-in at 3 AM. I was quoted $218 for the room which I was happy to get, but once I arrived on site to check in, they told me that I would have to pay $384 for the same room which honestly didn’t make sense to me on why the rate went up $100 all the gentleman at the front desk could do WAS offer me a free bottle of water? Extremely disappointed that I was overcharged, especially after I had made a confirmation and booked online But because I was coming in at 3 AM and leaving at 12:30 changed also I asked for a later checkout but had multiple cleaning staff from 8 o’clock every half an hour come knock on the door to see if I had left to get the room cleaned, which really didn’t help on my few hours of sleep
