Hotel was rustic and charming! The pool was nice, but it could use a bit of a face lift. There was cracking on the bottom. Food & beverage service poolside was not operational during our visit. Tom’s place, located in the hotel, was really cozy and the food was great. Definitely a highlight! The rooms are dated (old tvs, dirty lampshades, old alarm clock etc.) and could use a deep clean especially the carpets. The whole property could use some fresh paint and landscaping to spruce it up. Cornwall has a similarly themed best western, and it’s better maintained. Breakfast included scrambled eggs, sausages, deep fried homefries, fruit, waffles, and toast. I would visit again but would check out other hotels in the area before making my decision.

Been staying here annually for 40 years and love it. Negative: the paintings on the walls haven't been changed in all those 40 years and their colours have faded -- they need to be replaced! Floor in guest rooms can be very uneven. Hotel does not have the legally required minimum number of disability parking spaces. Great place otherwise!

The hotel was very outdated, with old, dusty carpets in the rooms and hallways. My room smelt like cigarettes. I paid $271 per room (with a deposit of $410 per room). I booked 2 rooms. They charged me 3x the deposit instead of 2x for 2 rooms. Never offered any apologies or a discount for the inconvenience of the smelly room. I am a senior- they have a discount for seniors, but the hotel had never offered me that. The only good thing was the restaurant- very friendly service, good food and drinks.

This hotel fell well short of what we expected from a Best Western. The lobby looked beautiful when we first arrived, and the front desk made a good initial impression. We were a little early and asked about checking in, but that wasn’t possible. That was fine and certainly not a major issue. Once we received our keys and headed toward Room 115, the experience quickly changed. The hallway had a very strong smell of old, stale carpeting. Between the carpets and the vacuum cleaners left sitting in the hallway, it was a major turnoff. Thankfully, our room itself did not smell, or we likely would have left. We later discovered that the air-conditioning unit was not working properly. Since we didn’t spend much time in the room, we managed, but it was still disappointing. Breakfast on our first morning was excellent. The breakfast area was spacious and well laid out, and the food was very good. Unfortunately, over the following two mornings, it appeared that only one person was left to manage the entire breakfast area. The quality and service declined each day, and on the final morning it was so bad that we left and paid to have breakfast elsewhere. That was especially unfortunate because breakfast had initially been one of the highlights of our stay. Overall, the stale-smelling hallways, aging carpets, poorly working air conditioner and inconsistent breakfast service left us disappointed. The hotel makes a nice first impression at the entrance, but the rest of our experience did not meet the standard we expected from a Best Western.

An ok stay. We needed a place last minute and they had a room. Very nice staff. Decor is a rustic theme which is showing its age, 25-30 years in my estimation. The hallway that our room was in had a musty odour. The room was a one queen bed with electric fireplace. Cute, spacious but again, tired and in need of a refresh or re-imagination. The bed was comfortable and no cleanliness issues. The water temperature fluctuated wildly in morning when trying to get warm water. The breakfast buffet was included, unsure of regular price. It was staffed by one fellow who was doing his best to keep it going, but by 9:45am there were slim pickings (eggs, potatoes, sausages, cottage cheese, juices all nearly gone despite buffet running until 10:30 on weekend). Definitely not good value at $300/night with CAA discount added. In this place’s current state it was overpriced.
