  Overall, my stay was fine until breakfast. The dining area was crowded, so an employee held us at the door for crowd control, which was fair. However, when I asked if I could grab food to bring to my room, she rudely warned me that I would be charged for any food stains on the carpets or linens. It felt like a threat rather than a polite policy reminder. I decided to leave, but she offered to call my room when it was less busy. When the front desk finally called 15 minutes later, the representative skipped any greeting or introduction and simply demanded, "Breakfast is ready." While my family was getting ready, he called back 5 minutes later, asking, "Are you coming?!" I told him we were on our way down, but that his tone was unnecessarily aggressive and ruined our appetite. He tried calling a third time, but I ignored it. The room quality at this location was equally disappointing. The walls had terrible sound insulation (I could hear full conversations next door), and there were no standard USB charging stations. This ruined our stay completely. As a Best Western Plus, this property should maintain decent service and facilities, but the staff was rude and the room condition was unacceptable. I will not be returning.

  My family of 3 stayed for 1 night Monday Aug 17 2026. We stayed in two rooms. We had a warm welcome from reception, and were able to check in early and explore the area, our reason for visiting. The hotel and rooms were all nice and clean and everything (bathroom, fridge, etc) functioned properly. Included breakfast was a hot continental, and was more than adequate to help us start our day. Hotel is a 5 minute drive to downtown Fergus and a little longer to Elora, so very convenient. Lots of restaurants around with different price ranges - there is a Tim Hortons right out front, other fast foods and finer dining options nearby. We would definitely stay here again.

  Our Family blocked rooms for a wedding. Individual reservations were lost or not in there system or so they say. Our guest were made to pay full price as well as hotel felt compelled to charge the bride and groom. So double paid for 5 rooms. How’s this allowed.?? It completely ruined was should have been a beautiful experience. Will never recommend this hotel to anyone.

  We wanted a nice place to stay for a weekend away. Do some site seeing. The Misses 50th D-day was on the Saturday we arrived. I had reached out to Hotel. Aman had quickly responded. I had request some surprise items for our arrival and they were generously meet. Much appreciation to the staff to accommodate this Special Day. The room was perfect. Clean and well kept. The Complimentary breakfast is Awesome, coffee, scrambled eggs, sausages and potato wedges, warm enough from buffet container. Fresh made pancakes and waffles were pleasant, but the best thing is the Staff. Truly went out if their way to offer assistance and make anyone's stay a memorable one.

  Service, and first impressions are two key factors in the Hospitality Industry. Service is considered intangible , and achieving excellence is almost impossible . This is, because, humans wants and needs are different. Having worked at The Fairmont Royal York, and won the Excellence Award fresh out of College, my expections are extremly high, and almost impossible to meet. Add a strong personality to the mix, I would leave you with the impression that I am a Diva. I was fully aware this was a 3 Star rating Hotel. I shouldn't expect too much considering past reviews. However; I was blown away by the experience. This is why I choose to leave such a detailed review. Truly, this locations exceeded my expectations on many levels. First, my trip was not planned at all. I received devastating news earlier that morning. I decided to take off to Elora. A place I always wanted to see. Considering I am battling Cancer. I see the world in a different set of eyes. It's only human nature to write negative reviews,; however we never take the time to say Thank you to those who leave an everlasting impressions. This location Fergus in specific deserves to be recognized. They are considered a 3 Star chain, who delivered a 5 STAR SERVICE!. Yes, I am very qualified to provide this rating, as mentioned previously. I have studied and worked in the Industy. My reservation was made directly with Anu. considering, its a last minute booking, she provided me with a high rate. This is Industry Standards. The rate included free WiFi, parkinyg, and Continental breakfast. Speaking with Anu was such a pleasure, she demonstrated a high level of professionalism , delivered with a gentle tone of voice that put your mind at ease. She didnt stop their, she also delivered a good rate, promoting me to book a second night. Check in was for August 4, 2026. The location of the property was prime, and quite. It was only 7.5 km to Elora Mill. The exterior of the property was well maintained. Plenty of parking spots Harpreet was the supervisor on duty, and checked us in. What impressed me the most, was her warm Hospitality, and her ability to reslove unexpected obstacles with poise and grace. Unfortunately, the room reserved for me was not clean. Both Anu, and Harpheet moved very quickly to offer heart felt apologies, and provided me with a beautiful room, plus a discount. She didnt have too, considering that she has to follow certain guidelines mandated by head office. They both exceeded my expectations, as they hurnest a very positive outcome. I am very thankful to you Ladies! Later on that evening, I noticed a gentlmen by the name Sam. He stood by the entrance, and welcomed guests in . He did this to everyone offering them a warm smile. Sometimes, we miss little details like that because life consumes us. In Hospitality little things as such, go a long way. Specially, when you are having a rough life. Sam, your warm smile and gentle welcome didnt go unnoticed. Thank you for how much you give of yourself to your guests. Thank you for an everlasting memory. Their are still good people who understand what a smile can do in a Hospitality setting. . Industry Standards, and its known a Continental Breakfast is coffe, tea, juice, a pastry, or toast. Their Breakfast EXCEEDED Expectations!. Arshool was on duty that morning. I will give her a 20 out of 10 !. Exceptional multitasking abilities, with grace, and smiles. She ran the breakfast, answered the phone, checked guests out, and not like she didnt already have alot on her plate. She took the time to help me with my bank, as my card failed me. She stood their with me helping me. I was blown away by her abilities. A Big heart felt thank you for you APLUS effort in the middle of the morning rush. BARVO!!!!!!!!!! You delived a 5 STAR SERViCE My lady!. You see, Hospitality is not just about the food, the room, but its about all the little details . Sadly, life consumes us, to a point we forget To stop and enjoy the little details. A heartfelt gratitude to everything that you did
