We stayed at this hotel during our vacation, and overall, we had a really wonderful experience. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and felt safe, which made our stay very relaxing. The complimentary breakfast buffet was a great bonus and had a nice variety of options. The staff were also friendly, and welcoming. We truly enjoyed our stay and would be happy to come back again.

My husband and I stayed on Saturday, August 22nd with our 4 lb dog. I have stayed at this hotel many times before and I never have high expectations.
I was honest with the front desk that I was bringing an animal and they charged be an additional $40 to stay in a downgraded room that I initially booked. Which I was fine with. I play by the rules.
The room itself I would not let my worst enemy sleep in there. The smell in the room could be described as "a 16 year old large hairy dog who had not had a bath in many years". The fact that they charge an extra $40 to sleep in a smelly room is embarrassing. Not to mention the slamming of doors after 10:30pm by the hoards of children that were also on the main floor with their parents that were drinking in the hallways.
I have stayed at many hotels that allow pets and never have I smelled a room like the one we stayed in...and paid extra for.
Will not return.

I’m writing this as we are at the hotel ! For a wedding drove 12 hours to get here , everyone was exhausted rented 3 rooms and first night , everyone was kept up till well after 12 am with over 10 kids outside screaming and hollering all night with their parents just sitting out there drinking , right outside EVERYONES patio doors all night till well after 12 am ! Second day/night kids running wild all over the place screaming banging doors ALL NIGHT, AGAIN till well after 12 am ! It’s a giant mad house for unsupervised young kids (ages 7-11 maybe with no respect and I guess the hotel thinks this is acceptable? the hotel does nothing ! Says nothing ! people shouldn’t have to get up at 12-1am to go and complain when the whole danm town can hear them! how don’t they ? People yelling at them in the halls to be quiet and go to bed ! Ridiculous ! Wouldn’t recommend will not return ! Worse hotel experience I’ve EVER had anywhere ! Kids scream in the halls all day going to and from pool ! Then move to the halls and in the courtyard come 10 pm when pool closes till 1-2 am ! I’m mind blown we have 2 more nights in the hell ! Before we have a long 12 hour trip home ! 🙄

Very disappointing stay, even for just one night. Our TV remote didn’t work at all, the bedside power outlet was dead, and the toilet wouldn’t flush properly and ran noisily throughout the night. The breakfast itself was decent, standard hotel fare and perfectly fine, but serving it on paper plates with plastic forks felt incredibly cheap for a Best Western.
The service was worse. We arrived a few minutes before 2 p.m. and were told it would cost $50 to check in early, otherwise my pregnant wife could essentially go wait somewhere until 2. As we were leaving to wait in our car, the GM happened to be at the entrance and sweetly complimented my wife on how beautiful she looked (we were dressed for a wedding). That led to a brief conversation about what had happened, and Joanne immediately and confidently told us she would correct the situation, which she did.
At checkout, I waited at the empty front desk for about 20 minutes and called the hotel twice with no answer. My wife eventually went looking for the clerk, who was out of sight and seemingly oblivious that anyone was waiting. When she finally appeared, she told me that I should have said something to let her know I was there. Apparently leaving the desk unattended and not answering the hotel phone was somehow my responsibility. Overall, an extremely disappointing experience, and we won’t be back.

On arrival to the hotel, several hours after check in was open, we were informed our room was not ready. We had to wait until it was checked over by the housekeeping team again.
There also seemed to be some confusion on how long we were staying despite having booked over a month before for a two week stay.
The hotel smelt damp, in particular in the bedroom. There was only a small window that opened in the room and there was a lack of overhead lighting only some table lamps, so the room was always gloomy.
There were renovation works going on the hallway which we were not informed of prior to arrival, this meant the hallway was being plastered and painted while we were in our room.
At breakfast, there were multiple days were there was no cutlery available and we had to use plastic utensils. Surely this is bad for the environment. One member of staff commented that it was because there was a function going on in another area of the hotel so they had all the cutlery. Surely, a hotel of this size should have enough to accommodate residents and visitors. There were also days when there were no plates and again we had to use disposable items.
The food at breakfast was not labelled, in particular the meat products. One morning there were signs up but this was a day that a function/conference was using the breakfast room also.
There were vending machines that didn't work and one member of the maintenance team could tell me that it never worked for card payments but remained plugged in with no signage.
On the whole, the staff were friendly so we have no issues there.
We have family in the Brantford area and were staying at the hotel to be close to them. However I would not recommend the hotel to any future family members visiting the area
