  Mixed Experience: Great Day Staff, Terrible Night Security My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel. It is a pretty old property, but our overall impression started out positive. The day staff was incredibly welcoming and accommodating, and both our room and the pool area were clean and well-maintained. However, our last night was completely unacceptable. At around 2:00 AM, someone broke into our car and attempted to steal it. The night manager on duty did absolutely nothing to handle the situation. He did not call the police, nor did he attempt to wake us up to let us know what was happening. In my opinion, this is completely negligent. At the bare minimum, he should have alerted us immediately so we could make the phone call ourselves, regardless of the hour. Instead, he just waited until morning to unload the entire situation onto the day manager. I am giving this stay 3 stars solely because the day staff was so wonderful. However, I am removing 2 stars due to the complete lack of safety protocols and the careless attitude of the night management. If you stay here, be aware that security shifts drastically after hours.

  It's a good hotel, true to the reliable Best Western brand, and a great value with the included very fulfilling breakfast. The location is questionable, sort of challenging. Fantastic highway access. If you're just stopping through, the location couldn't be much better. Downtown and the waterfront is a very short drive. But a lousy walk. I like to go for a walk when I'm staying somewhere, and this isn't a very good neighborhood for that. There's not much hotel management is ever going to be able to do about that. I can say that never felt unsafe during my stay.

  Room was clean, beds and pillows fresh and comfortable, bathroom was spotless, breakfast was hot, staff were friendly and efficient. Great stay!

  I had a block booking for business but had to shorten the booking and remove rooms last minute. The manager was excellent at adjusting my stay without issue. I would highly recommend this hotel based on location, price, and customer service.

  It was close to what we needed access to. The room was decent and the pool as nice. The continental breakfast was pretty good. Pretty much what I'd expect for the price range.
