located right by the hwy just a minute away from a regular neighborhood and an upscale area in the other side, the hotel grounds itself looks a little subpar. the hotel and rooms are older and slightly run down, but not bad with some upgrades. if you're sensitive to noise, you must get a room facing the upscale neighborhood, away from the highway as there's also a train running through every so often. all of the receptionists were good or great, including James who bent over backwards to try and help me. the breakfast is pretty full and I'd rank it an 8 of 10 compared to other BW locations, Monday had a bean and cheese burrito instead of the typical eggs, which is a no no. the workout room is underutilized which is probably why the treadmills are a lawsuit waiting to happen. Just give it a try for a couple minutes and you'll experience the stalling as well as the complete stop for no reason with the silver one. the room needs a lot of cleaning and attention, but it's doable if we're aiming for the basic minimum. another safety issue is not having the weight locks, which fell off from me and I know how to lift weights. I saw someone bring their dog to the second floor, not sure if it was their room or they were visiting, also not sure if pets are allowed in any room or only the first floor but that was an eyebrow raiser. the balcony lights to the rooms so not shut off so there's no way you get a completely dark room even with the blinds. they're on for our protection, which is a double edged sword since that's indicative of the area. the hvac blows directly over the beds so it's like having a fan on you all night; my daughter caught a dry and sore throat from it. the sliding glass door does not have a screen so bugs might be a concern, although it wasn't for us in early November. the beds were pretty comfy, including the pillows. all in all it depends what you're trying to get out of your stay here, it's on the affordable side but with obvious compromises. it would be ideal to slowly work on these issues and get the place to become a wanted destination. breakfast closes at 9 on the weekdays, that's forbidden, doesn't take into consideration tourists sleeping in just a bit in this highly touristic area.

Place looks nicer than it is. The shower heads couldn't be worse. But the beds are horrendous. Expected much more. Worst mattresses ive had in a hotel.

Very unsanitary, definitely the dirtiest place I’ve ever stayed at. The screen doors don’t shut fully which allowed for huge spiders to get in. Mold was in the bathroom and the room wasn’t cleaned before we checked in. This place has huge American cockroaches we found eating pieces of dog food that were left on the carpet. 100% don’t go here.

My wife and I booked this hotel for our honeymoon in early June. The hotel staff caught onto this and gave us a free room upgrade - this is the only reason I'm giving them 2 stars. However, we had a really terrible experience after a pipe burst at the hotel and the entire hotel was without hot water. They claimed they would give us a 50% refund for the nights we stayed at the hotel, and a 100% refund for the nights we didn't stay if we decided to check out early. So we booked another hotel and checked out. The third party required some information from the hotel to prove that the hotel refunded the third party, but the hotel was unwilling to provide that information to the third party. We called the hotel manager repeatedly. Usually these conversations took 10-15 minutes each because he would get confused, interrupt us and get heated. By the end of the conversation we felt like he understood and he promised us he would send the information to the third party, but he never did after many attempts. So here we are, 4 and a half months later, still without our $225.56 refund. EDIT: The hotel replied to my review. I've explained this to them already many times over the phone, but Priceline likely has already refunded the third party (Super.com). The problem is, Super.com's (admittedly poor) customer service has requested answers to a list of 4 questions as evidence that they were refunded. They need these questions answered before they can refund us. We talked with the hotel manager over the phone about this, and instead of giving us the answers to the questions to forward to Super.com's customer support as they requested, they told us they would call Super.com to resolve the issue. The questions weren't anything sensitive. The only thing we couldn't provide to Super.com ourselves was a statement from the hotel that they approved the cancelation.
