  *Review based on longer term stay* Requesting room cleaning has been a bit of a hassle. Front desk communication with housekeeping seems to be an issue. This is a normal issue for hotels these days, idk if they're reluctant to be persistent due to lackluster wage and they just dont care. I was asked by two different receptionists "well did you recently get a room cleaning?" First time I said yes, maybe 2 or 3 days ago. Second time, I said what does that have to do with me requesting it within this upcoming specified time frame? If I can not get them to do room service tommorow, Im going to lower to a 3 star review. Heaps of dust in the room. You can see it when the light shines through the big window. Otherwise the ev charging exists. 2 charging stalls for 2 hotels little lackluster. Pool and hot tub also shared with hotel next store. Jets seem to malfunctioning on the hot tub. Its a decent place. Just decent. Taco truck in front of sister hotel takes cash and zelle only.

  Beautiful room, good amenities, friendly staff, great location on the bay. Had a wonderful view of the sunrise over the bay from my room. Great value!

  I stayed for one (1) night at and in the Best Western Plus Bayside Hotel in Oakland, California, on July 26, 2025, because I was attending a party event in Oakland on the night of July 26, 2025. When I arrived at the hotel, if I recall correctly, I believe that I arrived early before the designated time to check into my hotel room. However, the woman at the front desk was nice enough to allow me to check in early into my hotel room. When I arrived at and in my hotel room, I liked my hotel room. The hotel room was spacious and clean. The hotel room had a microwave (which I did not use), but was a great amenity, nevertheless. The hotel room had a safe so that I can safely and securely store my valuables, which is something key that I look for when I stay at and in a hotel. When the safe was not functioning properly, I recall that I telephoned the front desk, and the woman that I answered the telephone promptly addressed the issue, and an employee from the hotel immediately arrived at and in my hotel room to repair the safe in my hotel room. The hotel is a relatively short walk from an eatery labeled "Brotzeit Lokal." This hotel did also serve complimentary breakfast, which was a huge plus. As a result, in general, and overall, I had a very positive experience at and in and regarding the Best Western Plus Bayside Hotel.
