I wish customer service existed here. I booked this hotel for family for a funeral. I called the fron desk and asked for some help with my reservation, Yolanda, told me she was having issues with her system and to call back in 15 min. Rather than take my information and call me back. She made me call. So I did.
I called back and asked about my reservation since I was experiencing issues - I got Yolanda again with her supervisor in the background and me on the speaker phone. I explained the story once again, Yolonda asked how I booked. I explained directly through Holiday Inn Express. She told me she couldn’t do anything and that I had to “call them directly” or fix my issue through the app.
I seriously questioned this comment since they are the front desk and oversee the reservations and I was more confused when she (and the supervisor) told me I needed fix it through the app. Still confused, I didn’t under why they couldn’t help me. They told me to add another person to the reservation to resolve me. I told them I tried to but I couldn’t. They said again, “you’ll have to call us directly or fix it through the app”. The supervisor in the background was loud enough that Yolanda didn’t have to repeat back instructions. Yolanda was ready to get off the phone since she told me “I’m almost off for the day and I won’t be able to assist”. I said “never mind I’ll figure it, maybe I’ll just cancel and try again”
I called IHG customer service and spoke with Amy, she at least tried to help me. Amy ended up calling the front desk at the hotel and explained the situation. Somehow miraculously Yolanda and the supervisor were able to fix my reservation. Amy was also confused why they didn’t want to help me or fix the situation directly.
I would not return here or recommend this location. Save your stress.

The beds were comfortable, but the room itself lacked cleanliness. There was drinks in the fridge from a previous guest and a clump of hair in the shower. The bathroom door knob is broken and is delicate to open from the inside, if someone panics they could definitely feel like they’re trapped. Locking mechanism of main door was sketchy at best. Breakfast isn’t available until 7 AM and that is late for many guests who are in town for events, such as us, we needed to leave by 6:30.

Upon check in, we were assigned a room that upon getting to said room, door was wide open and a man had an AC unit on the floor in front of the door. He said the front office didn’t know he was putting a new AC in…. We had an event to attend and needed to leave and I couldn’t wait around for this guy to finish and leave all my stuff in the open room. I went to the front desk, staff was polite and reassigned us to a new room. The AC in the new room didn’t work. We went back to the front office, and were told there were no other king rooms available. We were willing to move to a two queen bed room, if that meant a working AC. We packed up all our things and upon entering that room, it smelled like cigarette smoke. I am an asthmatic and just being in the room for 5 minutes had my lungs screaming. We went back to the front office bc the phones didn’t work in the rooms either. The staff member again was very nice but said there wasn’t much she could do. She offered us a standing fan to put in our second assigned room bc the air was broken and said the two queen room was a non-smoking room. We asked for a manager and she relayed there was no manager on the weekends and we would have to call on Monday to speak with someone. The room was decently sized. Walls are paper thin and what sounded like people running up and down the halls at all hours of the night. Fairly small hotel. Location was not the best… pretty sure a drug deal was taking place in the parking lot when we were checking in. Bed was comfortable. I just wouldn’t stay here again.

Everything was neat and clean, nice decor, we were happy, I only have one constructive suggestion. I am handicapped in a wheelchair, the grab bar on the wall is there not only to pull yourself up but to support your body weight. If placed at the correct level as you pull up your weight shifts to the bar, and when upright your arm is straight, your grab bar is much higher on the wall, I’m guess 6” - 8”, so when you pull up you are lifting your body weight without the support of the grab bar, your arm is bent so you are basically holding on for balance. As I must dress myself with my free hand, it’s very precarious as I have no stability from the grab bar, and I am now at great risk for falling.
