Room clean. A banister going up to 2nd level although only 4 steps would be appreciated for getting up the stairs for mobility of seniors.
Restaurant breakfast included is bare minimum. No decaf coffee... she blames the hotel as to what they get,
1 kind of cold cereal.. again blames hotel... 1 kind of jam... blames hotel...
tea when I added hot water had the faint taste of seafood water! Gross.
Didnt even try the coffee.
Breakfast is 1 toast, 2 sausages, scrambled eggs and cubed hash browns. Cutting sausages with very cheap plastic fork and knife was a challenge. Fork doubled in 2 while trying to hold sausages to cut with again as cheap knife. Real cutlery isn't expensive.
Hotel says Restaurant is leased with conditions that they follow Best Western policy but Restaurant doesnt abide.

Location of the Harbourview Inn SureStay Collection by Bw is well located and is easy walk to downtown core.
The hotel looks more like a motel and could have some improvements.
The room we stayed was OK but was not a 5 stars. More likely a 2.5 starts.
The sink was clogued twise and had to have it declogled.
The shower is OK but the body wash/Shampoo/Conditioner dispensers are way too low on the shower wall. Those items should be brought higher on the wall so adults don’t have to bend over to get soap.
They offer free breakfast from 730am to 9am but not very good breakfast. Didn’t get a choice of eggs. It is all scramble eggs with breakfast potatoes and toasts. Well everything was room temperature by the time we got the food.
Understanding it is a very small room where you get your coffee, juices, etc. They could have tried to make an actual buffet breakfast like other best western.
The hallway on the 2nd floor was very dark at night. Not all the lights were working.
The stairs in the back facing the parking lot, make me wonder if they are to code. Very hard to go down when your feet don’t even fit the leight of the stairs.
The only wheelchair accessible area is located at the front end of the building. Though the ramp is long and can access it easily, it is located at the end of the building which makes it a long way to go up ramp to get to the main lobby.

Very dated hotel and rooms. Given our Seaview room on the lower level with people walking by "our view" in the outside hallway. No privacy unless curtains closed, then no view! Poorly done renovations. Not the typical Best Western standard we've stayed at. The hot breakfast is a standard plate of food. No choice and served cold. Obviously pre-made. Plastic cutlery, paper cups, no juice or cereal. Would not choose to stay here again. Surprised Best Western would have this hotel under their name. Time for a standard check??

I don't ever post reviews, but with how terrible this location is I did have to share.
The listing on booking.com promised AC and cable. The hotel's own website promised a smart tv. I was given room 214.
The AC did not work. It was hotter inside than out and there was no way to open the window.
The only cable stations that worked were for sports. When this was brought up to the person working the desk. I was told to go to station 50 and then all the stations would work. This did not fix anything.
There was no smart TV. The remote also did not have a back and you had to turn the TV on manually with the buttons on the side of the TV.
The phone didn't work to call the front desk. I needed to change to go back and relay the issues.
When I stated I wanted a refund to the person working the desk, I was told it was ok, and to make the request through booking.com. Then I would get a refund. The person at the front desk TOOK MY KEY BACK and I went to the car. No offers to exchange my room. Just that a refund would be given.
Customer service (Cherie J.) was called who reached out to the person working the front desk for the hotel and she was also verbally told I would get a refund. I found a new hotel. When asked to put this in writing, the hotel disagreed with the refund. In return, I was given $16.16 in travel credits for booking.com for my inconvenience.
My recommendation is to stay anywhere else that preferably doesnt have false advertising.

Could not open the window in our room and there was no air exchange to get fresh air. It was very musty and had an unpleasant smell. We had clean towels but the service staff left the old dirty towels from the previous guests hanging on the back of the washroom door. The carpet in the stairwells is stained and dirty and has a wet and mouldy smell. Both my wife and I got sick with sore throats and pinkeye after our stay. Breakfast was included but there were no options to choose from, we provided the restaurant staff with a meal voucher and they brought a plate of scrambled eggs and sausage each morning. Definitely not a 3-star accommodation as advertised
