  This hotel was a major disappointment. Given its 4-star rating, we expected a comfortable and well-maintained property, but the reality was quite different. From the moment we arrived, the hotel felt more like a motel than a 4-star establishment. The rooms were undersized, the bed felt more like a double than a queen, and even the bathroom was so cramped that the door had limited opening space. The facilities were poorly maintained, with the outdoor pool being particularly dirty. Breakfast, although included, was extremely basic and offered very few choices beyond toast, eggs, and potatoes. The breakfast server appeared uninterested and unfriendly, doing only the bare minimum with no smile or customer service attitude. We were relieved that our stay lasted only one night. This was easily one of the poorest hotel experiences we've had, and we genuinely do not understand how this property maintains a 4-star rating.

  We stayed at Dannys after spending the day at Mount Carleton Provincial Park and it was a comfortable stop after the drive. The room was clean, the staff were friendly, and the pool was a nice bonus. The whole place did seem a little understaffed during our visit, particularly in the restaurant where quite a few tables were waiting to be cleared. The restaurant appeared to be going through some changes and was offering an Indian menu alongside the regular menu, although only a few of those dishes were available. Breakfast was sit-down rather than continental, which was a nice touch. Overall, a comfortable stay and a good stop on our road trip.

  Ce n’est pas un hôtel; c’est un motel alors vous devriez changer de tarif. Les chambres sont petites. L’ameublement est en conséquence. À notre arrivée, le plancher de notre chambre était collant. Le lit de la chambre est très mou et selon la personne à l’accueil ils sont tous pareils. La piscine est propre mais l’ensemble de l’œuvre aurait besoin de rénovation. La prochaine fois, je vais passer mon tour.

  Service courtois à la réception, que ce soit le service check-in ou lorsque nous avons eu une demande en soirée. Le déjeuner était correct et rapide. Nous avions la suite, cependant elle aurait besoin d'un peu de rénovation, la table de billard et les bâtons ont vraiment eu de meilleurs jours. Je crois qu'il y a un potentiel perdu, un lit d'appoint plus confortable et de petite rénovation lui redonnerait sa splendeur. Je crois que cela reste un choix décent avec beaucoup d'inclusion.

  By the end of our four night stay, I genuinely appreciated this little motel. However, the first 24 hours were a mix of disappointment and anxiety, as we looked to see if there were other options for the rest of our stay in Bathurst. There were none. The green spaces around the motel are lovely. However the description of our room did not clearly state that there was no seating area in front of our room (standard in many motels), but rather had to pass through a hallway to get outside. We had looked forward to sitting outside our room in the evenings with our puppy so this was disappointing. The pool is quiet and clean, but the signage that food or drinks from outside were not permitted put us off. Especially because the intention is to steer clients toward a restaurant that is empty after breakfast. It felt unnecessarily strict and controlled. There are few choices in Bathurst for lodging and dining. This is unfortunate given the beautiful location along the baie des chaleurs.
