  We got a room at the Best Western Park Crest Inn for a great price, for our weekend trip in Monterey. All the attractions and tourist spots we visited were a reasonable driving distance away, and the front desk staff were friendly. Our room was clean and offered basic amenities enough for 2 guests. I’m giving 4 stars as our room was right next to the “Employees Only” area, so throughout the nights, we’d sometimes hear noises from next door.

  Sterile rooms. Communicating door was super sketchy. Just a dead bolt that was unlocked separating you from the stranger next door. Bathroom window had no seal or lock. Light shines through window curtains, under front door and under communicating door. No fan in bathroom. Hot tub was falling apart with missing tiles and visible repairs that were failing. Continental breakfast was pretty good with waffles cereal breads and fruit. Coffee was fine. Paper thin walls.

  I have not had good experiences at motels and was disappointed when I drove in as I thought I booked a hotel. However this was a very clean and relatively modern motel. We were very pleased with the staff, the room and the breakfast. Would stay here again

  Beware price gouging went to book a room for mecum auction on August 12 - 16 was was met with a price of $700/night for a room normally $135. Surprised corporate allows this level of greed to take pace with their name attached. Disappointing. I will rethink my loyalty to best western as a franchise

  Great stay! The room was clean and newly renovated. We were on the second floor and could see a glimpse of the ocean. The only reason I didn't give five stars for location is because it's not right on the ocean. There is a nice open park space across the street. The service was friendly. The breakfast was awesome - buffet style with eggs, bacon, taters, waffles, oatmeal, cereal, fruit, etc. There is a pool and spa. We would totally stay here again!
