Small room. Noisy. Old. Funny smell in room.

Sterling at the front desk really cares about offering the best stays. Clean rooms and easy parking.
The consistency of a chain and the touch of a local place
Very loud with poor soundproofing, you can hear everything from upstairs and neighbors. Late checkout at 12 instead of 11 gives you an extra hour for $30, while most other hotels don't charge for this. The bed is only mediocre, worse than in any other motel I've stayed at. Also, they forgot to give us new soap after cleaning. I wouldn't stay here again.
For the price, it's not bad. Also not too far from the places we went to visit (Carmel by the Sea & Point Lobos). Very Cozy. Love the free Continental Breakfast. Only real complaint is that the room was not mopped thoroughly and constantly getting our feet dirty. Lost count of the times I had to go rinse in the tub to clean my feet.

Overall, my stay was good, and I would return. The location is very family-friendly and close to everything, which made getting around easy once we learned the roads. The staff was friendly, and breakfast was decent, perfect for a quick start to the day and enough to hold the kids over until lunch. Having a pizza spot nearby was also a plus for an easy dinner option.
There are a few things to note: the walls are thin, so that you can hear a lot of footsteps, kids, and general noise. Keep that in mind if you’re sensitive to sound. The bathroom was a bit small, and my 7-year-old had trouble reaching the toilet paper, but that wasn’t a major issue. Parking is convenient during the day, but it fills up at night, so you may have to park further back. My biggest concern was an RV parked on the street that made it difficult to see oncoming traffic when turning left out of the lot.
Overall, no major complaints. We made the best of everything and had a pleasant stay.
