I had a great stay. We were able to get a very tasty dinner while at the lounge having some drinks. I've been at DoubleTree many times for events or for stays since it opened years ago. However I don't think I knew all the amenities. Elvia was patient with me and let me know about a few that I was unaware of, including some interesting places in the local area that I was unaware of. Great customer service like that definitely makes me look forward to my next stay... Hopefully a little more frequently now

I hate writing reviews like this, but this was a terrible hotel to stay at.
The staff was fine enough I guess, however the hotel, the rooms, and the halls were all disgusting.
There were stains on the "fresh" sheets, multiple spots on the carpet in the corner suite that were matted and sticky with who knows what, and the tile on the shower floor was slimy to the touch.
When the issue was brought up with the front desk they told me "we'll have house keeping look into it" and nothing was done.
The train track right outside the hotel was loud at all hours of the day and night when ever a train would pass through.
Overall I will never even consider staying at this hotel again, and will strongly advise everyone reading this to do the same. Avoid this hotel.

I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. Thank you to the staff for the welcome and the quality of the service. I salute their professionalism. The property has better facilities at the gym and a magnificent swimming pool. I hope to go back soon

I was excited to find a hotel in Modesto without cockroaches or bed bugs. When I booked my two rooms the price was $200 more total than travelocity.com quoted me but they said it was because of fee and taxes. Ok then whatever, I paid it. Much to my dismay there wasn't a microwave in either room I rented, the train runs all night and blows it's horn all night as you're trying to sleep. Also, when booking i was not told about parking fees. Now that you know all this, not a horrible hotel but come on, no microwave... I digress, just make sure you ask all the right questions when booking.

No heater in the room, room has disgusting smell, toilet has brown stuff leaking from sides, and hair in bathroom. Loud horn from train all night long. Parking is across the street. Don't recommend going out at night. If you still need a reason... super rude lady at front desk and never offered water, cookies, or greeting at check in to a Diamond member. Don't stay hear, go to another place!
