  Amazing stay overall! The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the rooms were clean and well maintained. Everything was comfortable and made for a pleasant experience. The location is convenient and the hotel offers good value for the price. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the parking area can be quite tight for larger SUVs, pickups, and trucks, so maneuvering may be a bit challenging. Aside from that, I had a great stay and would definitely consider staying here again.

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Holiday Inn Winnipeg South. All the staff were pleasant, accommodating and professional. Thank you to chef Nirmal as well as Kristal and Hardeep. We especially appreciated the outstanding service and attention given to us by Maria! She is an amazing employee who treated us as well as other patrons in the dining room with the same caring attitude.

  Had to change from another hotel and was so glad we were able to get into this one. We had an issue with parking our RV but the maintenance man Dan helped us out. The front desk people were very kind. Restaurant had the breakfast buffet and we enjoyed that for the 2 days we were there.

  Our recent stay was okay. Room was a bit tired but clean. Whirlpool was cold and the jets weren’t working. What would stop me from booking again….about two hours after we checked in an employee came to our room door and yelled housekeeping and swiped right into the room. He didn’t knock or give us even 10 seconds to respond or come to the door. Once he saw the room was occupied he said “oh” and left. Didn’t even say what he was there for. He then went down the hall and did the same to several other rooms. The front desk should know who has checked into what rooms. If you knock on my door - give me reasonable time to answer. And tell me what you are knocking for instead of running away. A bit unusual and unnerving.

  I've been traveling to Winnipeg for business the last 15 years. I've stayed at this hotel often but prefer to stay at the express near the airport. This location doesn't seem to put the effort in my opinion. I do stay here when it's convenient when I'm working at the stadium down the street. Here's a list of where I think they need to make improvements The parking area is very tight, and when it's busy they have three levels of parking which is nice but if you do go up to those levels the stairwell is in rough shape. Even Smalls of urine which is gross The lower parking area concrete is cracked tripping hazards could use a refresh and they have a smoking area in the parking area. I don't want to have to smell that. The main lobby is upgraded and modern and no issues there The rooms are dated. The hallway has old carpet. The HVAC in the rooms is old. Recently on the 9th floor they upgraded toilets but really missed the mark. They could have put in elongated toilets for more comfort and even soft clothes lids. During my most recent stay My showers were all lukewarm. Couldn't even get a hot shower.
