  We had our first stay here on our road trip for a move to the East Coast. The hotel is new, rooms are excellent and breakfast from 6 to 10am was the best we've experienced so far. Would recommend including bottled water in the rooms as a courtesy.

  My stay at the Best Western Plus Brandon Inn did not get off to the best start, but I’m happy to say that the experience improved considerably as my stay went on. There were some initial issues with the cleanliness and housekeeping of my room that were disappointing and frustrating. However, once I raised my concerns, the staff were receptive and made an effort to address them. I appreciated that my concerns were taken seriously rather than simply dismissed. The service ultimately became one of the strongest parts of my stay. I also have to give credit to the breakfast. There was a good variety of choices, and I especially appreciated that items such as the potatoes and bacon were fresh. It was a nice change from some hotel breakfasts where the hot food can seem like it has been sitting out for a long time. Everything was well stocked and there were plenty of options to choose from. A special mention to Judy, who was absolutely lovely. She was friendly, welcoming, and added a genuinely personal touch to breakfast. Great customer service from staff members like Judy can make a real difference to a hotel stay, and her hospitality was definitely appreciated. The location was also very convenient, and the hotel had good amenities. While the initial housekeeping issues prevent me from giving the property a full five stars, I think it’s equally important to recognize when a hotel makes an effort to turn an experience around. Overall, what started off on a disappointing note ended much more positively. Between the helpful staff, convenient location, good breakfast, and the way my concerns were ultimately handled, I left with a considerably better impression than I had at the beginning. I would be willing to stay here again.

  All the lights in the room are for some reason, cold light. You have the impression of being in an underground parkade at night time even with all the lamps and lights turned on. I think I'd be pretty depressed if I had to stay here long term. The room was spacious, though. Lots of room to move around. The bed was comfortable. We slept deeply. The gym was tiny but no one is in there anyhow. The elliptical machine is so old...it's like something someone would have had in their home in the 90s but now it's worn out. It does work, though! You have to ask for the waterslide to be turned on, and you are not allowed to even take a coffee in a paper cup with you, so if you were planning on sitting at the giant tables on the deck relaxing with your morning cuppa while your kids play, forget it. Although the nice desk lady did say I could leave it on a window sill outside the pool area and come back and take a sip when I wanted to as long as I didn't bring it inside, but it's like, my momma told me never to take my eyes off my drink anywhere. Room temp was excellent! Nothing to walk to around here, but at least it was far away enough from the river to probably not flood.
