- ATAlbert TangNov 11, 20252.0The room and amenities were... fine. Weirdly enough the sink area didn't have a light, but I may have just been too stupid to find it. The real issue is the service. The water shut off during our stay. When I called the front desk, they were weirdly hostile when I wanted to know basic things like 1) when will it be back, and 2) why we weren't given a warning. In fact, they hung up on me when I wanted to know the answer to those questions. Just bad.

While none were a 5-star motel, we were quite happy with each one. The room at the Best Western Marina State Beach had comfortable queen-sized beds, a nice sized tv, a refrigerator, a microwave and a coffee maker. While some of the features were a little dated, we just needed a safe, quiet place to sleep for the night. I liked that the shower/toilet were separate from the vanity affording both people their privacy. Plus, they fed us breakfast in the morning.

Love staying at Best Westerns but this one needs a lot of work. I could deal with the chipped paint but the room was "clean" and yet no one sweeped and it looks like the bed was just made without switching out the sheets as there were shoe scuff marks. Not to mention door was wide open when we arrived to the room. TV not working and then got fruit flies in my OJ the next morning for breakfast. I would not recommend this hotel. Now I see why they have such low ratings.
