This place advertises as a resort but is set up as a very, very expensive motel. Our room cost $360 for one night. Parking is scarce and $25/night. There is no pet area and no pet amenities but pet fee is $50/night. There is no elevator service to 2nd floor rooms. There is no security for guests: no outside doors are keyed and anyone can walk in. There is no breakfast or other free food/drink, so you can pay even more at their restaurants. There is no coffee maker in room: there is a kettle and pods that produce vaguely coffee tasting hot water. If you want water or actual coffee, you must trek to the lobby, and bring your own water container. Good luck finding your room or anything else: signage is minimal and internal only. There is a steam room and sauna, but no lockers, towels, changing rooms or privacy— and no robes in rooms either. Outdoor pool has restroom and towels, but no other amenities. Our room hadn’t been aired, hand wash and lotion hadn’t been refilled, had no table, desk, tub or accessible safe. There were two small bath towels: to get more you have to trek to the lobby. We had two mugs, one chipped on drinking rim. There were no extra blankets. There was a microwave and mini fridge with no accessories to use them. View from the window was the parking lot. And service was a joke: staff was neither welcoming or helpful and uninterested in addressing any of the problems noted above. In short, spend your money elsewhere
First time staying here. They upgraded me to a nicer, bigger room for free which was pretty rad.
Mammoth is pretty small and since it’s my first time, I can’t say how great the location is for everybody but I thought it was good.
Mattress was firm which is a welcome change considering most hotels, even pricier ones, have mattresses that are too soft. They still had those crappy flimsy pillows that have zero support, so I’d probably bring my own next time I stayed.
No stairs if you get a second floor room.
Surprise $30 daily resort fee was kind of crap honestly. Lost a star there. Just add in the fee to the total price and charge it to me that way, there is not a single person on earth who will be thrilled about a surprise fee. I promise you’ll still get booked if your daily rates go up by $30, and you’ll be able to honestly say there are no surprise fees unlike some other hotels.
Nice clean bathroom with a big shower, in my room anyways. Room was clean as well.
Walls are thin, I could hear my neighbors really celebrating around 1am. If you’re a light sleeper, this might be an issue.
Overall I’d stay again.

Updating my review! About a week after I accidentally left a sentimental piece of jewelry in my room, I received a call and text from the team at Outbound. They had found my necklace and worked with me to make sure it got back to me. I was honestly blown away and incredibly grateful for the care they showed.
Aside from that little hiccup (and me being bummed about leaving something so meaningful behind), this hotel was truly a special place. We absolutely loved our suite, the space, the bed, and the shower was amazing after a long day of skiing.
We spent our last day enjoying the steam room, pool, and hot tubs, and it honestly felt like a spa experience relaxing in the hot tub while taking in the mountain views was unreal. The location is also super convenient, with great walkability to places to eat and drink. There was even a DJ event next door while we were there, which added a fun touch.
Outbound really feels like it has everything, and we’ll definitely be back. Thank you to the team! ❤️

Asked for room service twice, once at the front desk and once via voicemail, no service. Fireplace didn't work. Told staff the towels were out at the pool/spa, staff seemed disinterested.
Do not park along the North side of the building, had a large piece of ice slide off the roof and caused over $2000 in damage. Hotel would not cover the repairs.

An excellent hotel for a 3-star hotel. Worth the money. Only book the new rooms—they're comfortable and clean. Cons: 1. The bathroom and toilet doors don't close, which is especially uncomfortable with children. 2. The shower has poor water pressure and there's no bathtub. 3. I asked for cleaning services upon check-in and they promised it, but in the end, no one cleaned our room for two days. The hotel restaurant is good and there's a wonderful coffee van every
