    Expected a little more being that this is a Holiday Inn but unfortunately it wasn't quite up to par with our expectations and the family was disappointed with the room's condition. It was a fairly convenient location to LAX, HOWEVER, the management and staff need to implement express checkout for folks that need to catch a flight. We were checking out at 2:30 am to give ourselves plenty of time to catch our flight at 6 am. It was a good thing that we did because there was a hoard of people coming in from LAX to check in. It would have been nice and frankly, expected that the staff ask if anyone is checking out, instead of the customer having to try to get the attention of a staff member without appearing rude to the customers standing in line waiting to check in. There was another man trying to check out and get to a flight as well that was having the same issues as we were.

    This hotel is an excellent choice for value in proximity to LAX. As IHG loyalty members, we were pleased to have an option with convenience for traveling out of the airport. The restaurant meal was delicious, all the staff were friendly, efficient and welcoming. The shuttle was reliable. The highlight of our visit was Concierge Joe. He is a longtime member of the team…so completely helpful, knowledgeable, professional, and very personable. Thank you Joe for your support and assistance.

    Stay anywhere but this hotel. You will wait at least 45 min for a shuttle. Meanwhile every other hotel shuttle has been around 3 times and the drivers are saying to me “are you still here?”. Then the front desk can’t see my name in the reservation despite us personally calling Diamond Elite to add it the day before we arrived. So wouldn’t check me in. I called the Diamond Elite number direct and they said “yes you’re on the reservation”. I’m on the phone with the Diamond Elite representative and the front desk wouldn’t accept them on speaker on my phone so they had to call hotel direct. I asked to speak to a manager and it’s just excuse after excuse. We stay at Holiday Inns all over the world (thus the DE status) and NEVER have we encountered any difficulty like this before. They wouldn’t even give me the breakfast vouchers. The primary has to pick them up themselves. So after an hour and a half getting there and getting situated, my partner who is arriving later has to “check in” just to get the breakfast vouchers. It just shouldn’t be this hard. They did nothing to resolve the situation, just gave excuses. At no other Holiday Inn have we experienced this level of unhelpfulness and difficulty. Absolutely not worth the stress and hassle.

    Booked in to stay here a couple of weeks ago for a large group before flying home the next day. I accidentally booked into the wrong Holiday Inn and not this one. I was helped by Jaime on the desk who helped me contact the Hawthorne Holiday Inn who were able to cancel my booking with them as a good will gesture. Jaime saved the day by getting us booked in at the right hotel (this one) was just overally really helpful and friendly and turned a very stressful experience into a great last day to our trip. Thanks Jaime!!

    My main reason for giving this stay 3 stars is the overall value compared to the cost—especially when factoring in needing an Uber to get anywhere. The shuttle itself was easy and very convenient, which I appreciated, but there weren’t many food options nearby. We ended up walking about ten minutes to a taco truck. The lobby looks renovated and modern, but the rest of the hotel really needs major updates. Our tub had bubbling on the surface, and the carpet—both inside the room and in the hallways—was in rough condition. Breakfast is also $25, which feels high for what’s offered. The front desk could be friendlier. After delays and long flights, most guests here are dealing with layovers or airport‑related issues, so good customer service goes a long way and really matters in a place like this. On the positive side, they do have plenty of seating on the lower level, and the bar stays open later than dinner service—though it would be nice if it stayed open even later. Overall, convenient shuttle and decent lobby, but the hotel needs updates and stronger hospitality to match the price.
