It troubles me to leave a review that’s less than stellar for a small, independent hotel but I have to be honest. Despite the fact that we made reservations almost a month in advance, we were still assigned the worst room in the hotel - 109. Not only was it small and dark but it was right next to the elevator which I had specifically asked not to be near (I had also asked not to be near the ice machine or any 10-year fraternity reunions). On top of that, the A/C didn’t work and the only window in the room was small and looked out onto the courtyard. We’re comfortable in small rooms as we frequently travel in Europe and large, US-sized rooms are rare but this room didn’t even have room for a chair. I did complain about the room and was told that the hotel was full and there was nothing they could do. On the other hand, the staff was pleasant enough but we weren’t interested in participating in the ‘happy hour’ that they host nightly. We heard emergency vehicle sirens all night but that’s not the hotel’s fault.

Comfortable, quiet stay. The room was clean, had a fridge and coffee maker, and there was also a coffee machine in the lobby that you could get a variety of coffees, lattes and espresso The front desk staff were very nice and helpful. I especially appreciated the secure garage parking — I left my car there while using rideshare during my stay, and it gave me peace of mind. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay again without hesitation.

As soon as we walked in we were greeted with the host crying(understandably) because another guest had attacked her. I hope they are ok because the staff didn’t seem like they cared. We waited for another member so help us and he seemed like he didn’t know what he was doing. The room was very awkwardly made and small. The water took about 15mins to even warm up enough for it to be usable. All in all I would not stay here again.

We had a problem with the heat in one of the rooms, but the problem was quickly remedied by Fredrico at the front desk. He did his best to fix it, but was unable to do so, so he moved us to a room that had heat and was actually given an upgrade for our inconvenience. We were very happy with the change….and warmth.

My recent stay at this hotel was truly disappointing. I was in town to attend my daughter's event and I was checked into room #109. NEVER stay in this room if you want to sleep well. This room is located immediately adjacent to the elevator and close to Robertson boulevard. The elevator mechanism is quite loud and disturbing as are those using it. The street noise is also continuous well into the night. How any hotel owner or management personnel could allow this room to be used by a patron is beyond my ability to understand. Additionally, the shaded window lets light into the room from the outside directly onto the pillow area where one's head is positioned. The inconsiderate nature of booking this room to anyone is unfathomable! There were many other rooms available when I checked in so it is inconceivable that this room would be the default room. Stay anywhere but here! Thank you.
