Hotel overall was average. You can tell its older and certain things have not been brought current or replaced/fixed (bathrooms). My room itself was clean. The service throughout the hotel was great with the exception of the front desk. Every single person that works in the front desk should be re-trained. My reservation was messed up from the time I got there until the time I left. No one seemed to know what was going on, how to fix it nor did they care. I had to deal with the front desk at least 5 different times which was absolutely horrible each time. If you could book elsewhere, I would definitely do that.

Where to start? You arrive at the parking lot and find it dominated by an army of valets whose sole goal is to take your car and make you pay the hefty surcharge. If you refuse, they send you to the top floor (10th floor if you're lucky, assuming it's not full). On top of that, the parking is in an adjacent building, so you have to exit and re-enter the hotel, and even though there's an elevator, you'll still face a flight of stairs. The front desk staff isn't very welcoming, and the first thing they do is put you in some kind of inexplicable queue—but whatever, it's not a big deal. Internet is truly abysmal and constantly drops if you try to use a video streaming platform. Don't forget to check the window disaster: they're dirty, and cold air and noise seep in all the time. The room is Spartan, and they don't have room service—yes, as you heard. Finally, the safes in many rooms are either off or out of battery, but the best part is when you call reception and they say they'll send the "engineer" to fix it. Of course, he doesn't come. You call again, they promise to send him, and still nothing. Exhausted after four calls, you resign yourself to no safe for your entire stay. The pillows are 10 cm high and as hard as they were 50 years ago... In short, not a good experience at all, except for the café Pitchound next door for breakfast, which I highly recommend—it's a really chic French bakery close to the hotel that lets you skip paying for breakfast there. Undoubtedly, its prestige comes from a bygone glorious era, as you'll see in its beautiful and luxurious lobby... but that's where it begins and ends.

I want to start with the service, because I honestly can’t remember the last time I experienced service as exceptional as what Jose provided. He truly guided us through the hotel, sharing its history and explaining the value and significance of the property. He was extremely helpful, kind, and informative. If I could give a ten stars to Jose, I absolutely would. Thank you again, Jose, for your beautiful service. It really made our experience special. The hotel itself is stunning. You can feel its history the moment you walk in. Being more than a hundred years old, it carries so much character and beauty. Knowing that so many movies and stars have been part of its story only adds to its charm. It’s simply exceptional. The location is excellent, right in the heart of Los Angeles, which makes everything very convenient. They also provide parking and valet service, which makes a big difference when staying downtown. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Even the small details, like the quality of the shampoo and soap, show that they care. Overall, we had a very positive experience, and I would absolutely recommend staying here.

I'm so amazed to finally see the Biltmore Hotel for the first time in person. This hotel in Los Angeles was built in 1923 and that's where they used to have the Oscar Academy Awards ceremony in the 1930s. Of course, many movies were filmed here like Ghostbusters and Beverly Hills Cop (both released in 1984), Pretty in Pink (1986), True Lies (1994), The Nutty Professor and Independence Day, (both released in 1996), Cheaper by the Dozen (2003). Now that I've been to the Biltmore, I can start creating new memories and remember this famous filming location place forever.

The room I had needed some major upgrades. The room looked more like I was in a motel. The carpet had random wet spots, the paint needed a huge touch up and the shower looked like they just filmed a horror movie. The tiles were peeling and the light flickering made it feel very rundown. The rest of the hotel looks amazing. The art, history and architecture were very pleasing and it is the only reason why this rating is not lower. The breakfast looked disappointing when I first seen it but the food was actually pretty good. I would definitely due away with the cut sandwich cheese and add mozzarella balls but that’s just preference. The staff were great during the minimal interactions I had with them. The bed is super soft and my wife loved it but I hated it because I prefer a stiffer bed, again this was only preference and did not affect the rating.
