Gave this place a second chance since the location was so great. First, the positives. Great location for LAX, reliable shuttle service and the rental car company very convenient. Rooms just need attention. Carpet and headboards ripped, lampshades thrashed. First time we stayed a few weeks ago, water was lukewarm at best. We were informed by the hotel this is how the company is participating in climate awareness. Upon return from our vacation, the first room we were given was still dirty from the previous guest. Second room was fine, but still needing cosmetic repairs and just smelled. We noticed a letter to guests in our room that the “boiler” has been fixed. 🤣 Water was hot at least. We sat in the lobby since our flight was later in the afternoon. Every guest that was checking out had a complaint about their room. The bathrooms in the lobby required a key card, and if you have already checked out, the receptionist had to escort you to the bathroom to open the door. Had so much promise, the lobby looks great. I just posted a few pictures, but could have taken so many of things needing repair.
We had an issue with the smell in our room during our first stay. We stayed for three days, and by the third day my husband decided to pay for a different room because the one on the second floor had a strange, musky odor that I just couldn’t ignore. Although we were out most of the time since we travel frequently, it was still noticeable enough to bother us.
I called the front desk and was fortunate to speak with Alex Daniel. He was professional, kind, and genuinely understanding. After learning about our situation and that we had already paid for two different rooms, he explained that parts of the second floor are still in the process of being renovated, which may have contributed to the smell.
He went above and beyond to make things right and made sure we felt taken care of. We truly appreciated his honesty and customer service. If you experience any issues during your stay, I highly recommend asking for Alex Daniel he handled everything with professionalism and care.
Absolutely unacceptable and Very Unprofessional
Homewood Suites by Hilton Los Angeles International Airport was a complete nightmare. We booked in advance through a travel portal, arrived after a long trip, and were told our reservation “could not be found.” No efforts, no accountability.
We were forced to pay AGAIN on the spot just to get a room. Now, after explaining everything clearly and providing details, they are refusing a refund, falsely claiming we “used the reservation.” That is simply not true.
This is either gross incompetence or intentional double-charging. Zero customer service, zero integrity. Save yourself the stress and stay somewhere else.

A bit disappointed with our stay at Homewood Suites, when we first arrived the room smelt very musky and the aircon wasn't working very well, we thought we would give them the benefit of the doubt as we were only there for one night.
Their service during breakfast was lovely and the shuttle bus driver was amazing.
But upon check out we were charged for two water bottles we hasn't used or drank out off, it was never replenished from the previous guest. Fast forward as we were travelling that day, came back home and tried to call to get a refund, was advised that it needed to come through housekeeping and housekeeping wasn't there during the Christmas period. So give it a few weeks trying to call but can never get through to their hotel then finally when we get through told that we will get the refund to only never receive it a month later now.
Overall the location was a great place and very close to the airport and grateful for the shuttlebus but very disappointed with the service.

Stayed here for work, and had an awful guest experience which began when I checked in. Immediately found dirty towels in the bathroom, and no trash bags in either trash can. It was very late, and I had been traveling all day, and the rest of the room, including the bed, was clean, so I didn't have it in me to complain about it. I went downstairs to the bar, but the service was extremely poor. Long wait times, and even after flagging down staff, was still forgotten about. I had met some work colleagues there who didn't have a problem, though, so maybe that was just me.
The room was large, and well-appointed, but I didn't get much sleep, on account of the refrigerator compressor rattling every couple of minutes. The first time, I thought it was someone jiggling the doorknob, so I went out to the hall to check, but later diagnosed the fridge as the noise's source. The plumbing was also pretty loud whenever anyone adjacent to (or above) my room flushed or ran water. Still didn't complain though, as I was only going to be there for a few hours, and it was paid for by my company.
The worst part came later when I had to dispute a $6.59 charge on my card a few days after checking out. I spent over 45 minutes on hold, was hung up on multiple times by both the call center and the front desk. Evidently the housekeeping log showed that I had drank/taken one of the water bottles provided (which I had not). To make it even worse, I had actually purchased one in the hotel shop downstairs the night before when I had checked in!
Eventually, "as a one-time courtesy" the charge was removed, but only after I had spent over an hour and a half on the phone, waiting on hold, dealing with automated menus, and being hung up on.
Evidently the customer is not always right at the Homewood Suites, and though the recording may say so, they certainly do not "value your call"!
If it weren't for work, I would never stay here again, and I suggest that you don't either. There are far better options on Century Boulevard.
