The airport shuttle to and from the airport is the main reason for a 2 star review. We arrived at around 10 AM and picked up the shuttle with no problems. We were in LA for a cruise out of Long Beach so we arrived early that day to see some of LA. My wife’s parents were flying in later that night and my father-in-law uses a walker and a wheelchair. Their flight landed around 8 PM so we went back to the airport to assist them in getting to the hotel. We waited for the airport shuttle for 2 hours. The main problem is that we were in terminal 3 and the shuttle bus would be full by the time it would get to terminal three. However, we only saw one or two shuttles per hour pass by us and when they did stop, they were already full. I called the hotel several times to tell them to pick us up, but I either got no answer or their efforts did not work. One of the shuttle buses that we took also takes passengers to other offsite parking therefore, it’s not just the Hilton Garden Inn passengers on the bus. We even contemplated taking a shuttle bus to a nearby hotel and walking to the Hilton garden Inn, but my wife’s parents could not handle that. We ended up taking LAexit and going down to the bottom floor to get a bus for it to take us to a taxi stand where we took a two minute taxi to our hotel. Their shuttle bus service was a disaster and when I told the manager on duty, he came up with several excuses, and we never heard our resolution after we left. He said he would call me after he did some investigation, but I never received a call. The hotel workers that were receiving our phone calls the night of our shuttle bus incident kept telling us that we should tell the manager that this is an ongoing problem. The shuttle bus situation at this hotel is one reason I would not stay here again if given the opportunity to be in LA again it was a great location for our cruise that left the next morning but getting to the hotel using the free shuttle bus was a horrible experience. The room was nice. The lobby was nice, we did not eat there because the breakfast buffet was very expensive. However, we walked next-door to McDonald’s to eat a breakfast before we left for our cruise.

They systematically steal deposit money hoping you won't notice. They charged 24 dollars for a 2 night stay. I've seen reviews across a couple different platforms claiming the same at 12 dollars for 1 night.
This isn't a fee, it's clearly stated in their booking.com listing that the deposit will be returned in full if there is no damage.
If they stole your deposit report them to the better buissness bureau as this is a systemic problem in this branch and I assume they likley do it to a large amount of customers hoping they won't notice it.
Receptionist was friendly and helpful, terribly long line to check in everytime I come here
My room wasnt nice, coffee was watery, bathroom door didn't close, the bedsheets are weird and actually don't surround the duvet properly so if you move much in bed you'll be touching a dirty duvet.

I’m leaving this review simply to share helpful information for future guests.
Overall, our stay met our expectations. The room and general hotel experience were good. However, I would recommend not fully relying on the complimentary airport shuttle service.
The shuttle appears to be outsourced and also services nearby parking structures, so it tends to be very full. If you are traveling alone, you may have a better chance of getting on. In our case, when we checked out in the morning, we waited in line for about 45 minutes. Two shuttles arrived during that time, but both were already full and only accepted a few individual travelers, not groups.
Eventually, we chose to call Lyft, as many other guests did.
I’m sharing this simply so future guests can plan accordingly and allow extra time or consider alternative transportation if needed.

The only reason I chose to stay here was because my flight was arriving late and I needed free shuttle to the hotel.
But here’s the thing. Since LAX is already a crazy place, with the construction of new terminal, we had to walk a long way to a place all within the terminals to get to a shuttle stop. The line at the shuttle stop was wrapping around the terminal literally. Took 45 mins to get on one, then the slowest shuttle drove just 1 mile to another terminal, another long walk to the shuttle area for different hotels . Took another hour to get in that shuttle and another 40-50 minutes to get to the hotel which is just less than miles away.
It was a nightmare. Specially after a 12 hour flight with connections from the East coast.
And again since its LA close to downtown, the hotel reception weren’t warm and welcoming.
There is no free breakfast. The in room coffee maker is cheapy and didn’t work.
Surprisingly there is only a Starbucks and Subway across the hotel. No other restaurant. There is a 7/11 walking distance but thats it.
All the Food trucks and restaurants are closer to the other LAX Hilton Garden Inn. Wish I had chosen that for the stay and also the Marriott LAX And a couple other hotels close to that.
Rooms are decent, but small in size. Bathrooms were fine but didnot have hand wash. So annoying !
When I requested house service for hand soap and extra towels, took them almost an hour to bring me one.
The parking is ridiculously expensive . $76 for 21/2 hrs my friend paid who has just come to visit me ! I felt so bad for her. Street parking is not much and is not safe.
The hotel location is such that there is no parking at all infront of it, you have to turn directly into the hotels garage . No other option because its situated on a main road.
While the shuttle to and from LAX is convenient to have , it gets packed and often one has to wait 2-3 times to be able to board one. Reception also didnot tell us that the shuttle comes every 30 minutes I think or was it every hour. So basically unlike a lot of other hotels, you cant really inform front desk when you flight lands or leaves so they can have the shuttle ready for you.
The one best thing, Hilton Garden Inns have the best pillows. So much so that I bought their brand pillows. The beds are great too.
I would not stay here again. I would try the other LAX Hilton or LAX Marriot close to tuis one

We booked this hotel through Exoedia for an overnight layover. The room was prepaid and confirmed but when we arrived to check in at 1:40am we were told the hotel was oversold and we had been "bumped". Our prepaid room had been given away to another guest. Apparently, this is common practice. We were one of several that day due to concerts in town and delayed or canceled flights.
The front desk staff was professional and apologetic and informed us that we should follow up for a refund and that we could either wait for the next shuttle or walk 10mins in the middle of the night with our luggage to the Hampton Inn where the nightly rate was nearly double what we prepaid for the Hilton.
This seems like a corporate racket and management should be ashamed of themselves. Intentionally miss managing inventory and giving rooms away to the highest bidder. That's some dishonest, greedy BS.
On another note, the shuttle ride from LAX was equally disappointing. While it was on time, the driver was unhelpful and silent. She did not help elderly guests with bags nor did she announce stops. We almost got off at another stop, a parking garage, unknowingly. Thankfully we asked and she replied without even looking up.
0/5 do not recommend. I would rather sleep on the floor of the airport then have to shelp luggage around LA at 2am just to be double charged for a place to sleep for 6hrs.
