This was unfortunately a really disappointing stay at a place we had high hopes for. We arrived early to request that our garden view room be on a higher floor, if possible, and store our luggage. All good. When we returned to check in around 6 PM the lobby was chaos. Eventually we got our first communication after some time in line from a security guard, not a DoubleTree employee, with a roll of red tickets who said that the system was down and the 50 parties in line would be given a number to check in once things were back up and going. This meant no time to get ready for our evening, no ability to use the lobby restroom (you need a room key!), and no management to speak to about the problem. I saw some people in suit jackets on some phones, but they left the forward facing duties to an inexperienced, but lovely and capable, front desk associate and the security guard who may or may not work for DoubleTree. Kudos to them for handling the situation with grace. Our room had a nice view, with super dirty windows, a shower door that wouldn't close no matter what we tried, and a clogged toilet. My husband had prepaid for the room, we were celebrating a special occasion, and the area was super busy so we were worried about not being able to find anything else at all. We also were exhausted, otherwise we would have washed our hands of the entire situation right then and there. A survey was sent after our stay, I answered, and someone from the front desk team reached out asking if I'd like to further discuss the issue and talk about making it right. I indiciated I would and followed up a couple of times. I haven't receved any sort of response. At this point, I suspect I got an initial AI generated response or a from letter becauase there has been no follow up or effort to understand the situation or make anything right. We are visiting the area again in a couple of weeks and I'm looking for a different place to stay. I'm sad to say I can't recommend this place

Room is Very Nice, some dated items like the TV/remote , the paint in the bathtub but Very comfortable and welcoming, Water pressure and temps were spot on. Elevators are a bit slow and a bit half size as regular but theres 4 so its fine. Front desk staff is 75/25 Top tier, besides a certain situation that was already addressed with manager, They're usually Friendly and respectful despite of Your age or attire. Parking is Nice lots of spots, valet parking is optional too. Justice Breakfast Buffet area was descent, Staff can be hit or miss with Friendliness, we overheard one of the staff members Mutter some unkind words when a family party of 7+ with kids came in. Unpleasing, but the staff in charge of the breakfast kept the area always Topped up which was nice. Area is very close to Little tokyo nice spot to stay if interested in the area and A short drive from the dodger stadium. Also the Garden up top is a nice scenic view. I would recommend this spot

I don’t enjoy leaving negative reviews, but I feel obligated to share this experience. Due to a family emergency, I needed to shorten my stay and called Hilton to make the change. I was told my original reservation was refundable and that I needed to cancel and rebook. I explicitly confirmed the refund policy before proceeding. After rebooking, I was then told the original reservation was actually non-refundable, the exact opposite of what I had just been told. I would never have double-booked had I not been assured a refund was possible, the issue was not resolved and I ended up wasting a couple hundred dollars. The hotel itself is nice enough, but it could use some updates. The carpet and overall feel are a bit dated. Between the outdated property and the unresolved billing issue, the experience was disappointing.

Amazing hotel and first time been in that hotel. Everything wasn't that far to get to plus the train is in a walking distance. Cons - the shower needs a better water guard. Water kept coming out Best location ever. The receptionist was cool when I mention ill have someone come to decorate the room for valentines day. They were cool helping the person that would decorate the room ^_^
