  What a secret gem in Los Angeles. Prime location. Modern, updated and beautiful inside with a special connection to the original California architecture and style that is so rare in the glass and steel "box hotels" of today. Outside harkens to the original Spanish Colonial style that defines the beginnings of Hollywood and what is so unique about Los Angeles. Gorgeous courtyard design with rooms encircling a beautiful pool and lovely landscaping. Convenient and easy parking (very rare in this area) with a charming lobby fronting Sunset Blvd. Easy walking distance to Whiskey a Go Go or what have you. Breakfast includes many protein options and gorgeous pastries and croissants. Sublime hospitality from the management and staff. Sadly, sharing my secret will make it harder for me to get a room. But they deserve it.

  This was my fourth stay at Best Western Plus Sunset Plaza Hotel, and it just keeps getting better. The hotel was recently remodeled, and the transformation is beautiful. The rooms feel modern, fresh, and incredibly clean, with a cozy boutique vibe that you wouldn’t normally associate with a Best Western. In fact, when you think of “Best Western,” this is definitely not what comes to mind — it feels more like a charming, stylish boutique hotel tucked right into the heart of West Hollywood. I stayed on the third floor with easy access to the backyard pool area, and it was such a relaxing setup. The little patio and pool space are absolutely beautiful — peaceful, well-kept, and perfect for unwinding. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, making the whole stay feel warm and inviting. They also offer breakfast, which is such a great bonus, and the manager is truly amazing — welcoming, attentive, and genuinely caring about guests’ experiences. Even though there are much fancier hotels nearby, I would choose this one again in a heartbeat. It feels personal, cozy, and special. I’ll absolutely be coming back over and over again.

  We always stay here when visiting our son in West Hollywood. Hotel is undergoing renovations, which were needed and have turned out very nice. Love the underground parking area and especially the EV charge in stations since my rental car was EV. That was a nice bonus to have it Charge overnight.

  The best thing about the hotel is the terrific pool courtyard area, it’s gorgeous! An absolute pleasure to sit in and take some respite from the city! The location here is pretty good too with bars and restaurants nearby!

  Lo que esperaba que fuera una gran estadía terminó siendo una experiencia decepcionante: un hotel con condiciones de “paso”, pero con cobros de hotel premium. Para empezar, el hotel se encuentra en remodelación y esto impacta directamente la estadía. Desde el ingreso a la recepción se percibe un ambiente cargado de polvo y arena, y esa misma sensación se traslada a áreas comunes como la piscina y el gimnasio, que no se sienten adecuadamente acondicionadas para el uso de huéspedes. El desayuno “incluido” también deja mucho que desear: es exactamente el mismo todos los días, sin variedad. Para una estadía de más de una noche, resulta monótono y poco acorde con lo que se esperaría por el valor que se paga. En cuanto al servicio, es correcto pero básico: no fue una atención grosera, pero tampoco destacable. Adicionalmente, el servicio de limpieza de la habitación es poco práctico: el huésped debe llamar todos los días antes de las 10:00 a. m. para solicitar el arreglo. Es decir, la responsabilidad de que se realice (o no) la limpieza queda en el cliente, algo que no es habitual en hoteles de este concepto y rango de precio, y que debería gestionarse de manera estándar sin poner esa carga en el huésped. Lo rescatable fue la habitación: cómoda y limpia. Sin embargo, me asignaron una en el segundo piso (por debajo del nivel de la recepción, que está en el piso 3) y durante la noche se sienten con claridad las pisadas y ruidos del personal o de personas que ingresan, lo cual afecta el descanso. En general, el hotel está bien ubicado, pero mientras continúen las obras sin medidas claras para controlar el polvo/ruido y sin mejorar la calidad y variedad del desayuno, además de ajustar procesos básicos como la limpieza, no considero que la relación costo–beneficio sea justa. Recomiendo a otros viajeros revisar reseñas recientes y confirmar el estado real de la remodelación y las condiciones de servicio antes de reservar.
