This is our first night, and I honestly don’t even want to sleep here.
It is nighttime, and we are supposed to be resting, but we cannot even do that. As soon as we went to bed, we noticed a spider on the ceiling. Shortly after, both of us developed itching and red spots on our bodies, which made us extremely uncomfortable and concerned about cleanliness and possible allergens or pests.
From the moment we arrived, the experience has been extremely disappointing. The hotel is in the middle of major construction, which was not properly disclosed in advance. The front entrance barely worked, there was no bellman, and the lobby was so disorganized and dusty that we initially thought the hotel might be closed.
When we reported the situation to the front desk, there was no apology, no empathy, and no immediate assistance offered. We were simply told to speak with a manager in the morning to “see what they can do,” despite the fact that this is happening at night and we need to sleep now.
This experience has left us feeling uncomfortable, unsettled, and unable to rest. Given the conditions and the lack of response from staff, this is not an acceptable standard of guest care.

Stayed Dec 4–6, 2025 (2 nights).
This was our last stop of our honeymoon, and I booked it because the photos looked dreamy—resort vibes, a classic room, and a terrace that looked out onto the pool. I was totally sold.
But honestly… it ended up being a huge disappointment.
This wasn’t some light renovation. It felt like full-on construction. The lobby was covered in construction plastic, and parts of the ceiling were ripped out so you could literally see the wooden framework. The elevators (only two) felt sketchy too—one would close super slowly, the other differently, like something was off. I even caught myself thinking, “If I go to the laundry room alone at night and get stuck in here… what then?” Not a great feeling.
Also—no need for a morning alarm. The construction noise will wake you up for free. 🙃 I kept thinking: They’re doing this much work and still hosting guests?
Our room was (I think) Room 303, on the same floor as the breakfast area. The moment we walked in, my mood dropped because the room had this stale, sweaty “someone just worked out in here” kind of smell. It was strong enough to be genuinely unpleasant. I wanted to air the room out, but the windows barely opened—and to make it worse, when you look outside it’s basically… a cement wall. My husband tried to make me laugh and said, “Let’s pretend it’s a medieval view.” 😅
A few more things:
-The cabinet door covering the mini fridge was old and crooked and wouldn’t close properly.
-There were framed pictures on the wall… and one frame literally had a dead bug inside. I’d actually seen another review mention this, and yep—still there.
Between the smell + the cement-wall “view,” the room honestly felt like living in a semi-basement.
I went to the front desk and asked to change rooms, explaining everything. They told me they had disclosed the hotel was under construction and that the rate was discounted because of it. They said to come back the next morning and they’d “check,” so we waited.
When I checked our Agoda booking again, the construction notice was only visible if you hit a “more” button—and it was tucked away in small text. And even then, I never imagined the construction would be on this scale.
The next morning, I asked again. No room change.
On checkout day, I overheard a couple checking in and the staff told them they’d get a room upgrade because they were members. So… yeah. We weren’t members, and it definitely felt like the “better rooms” were being saved for member upgrades.
Breakfast was included, but honestly it was worse than a franchise motel we stayed at earlier on the trip.
My expectations were high, and overall it was really, really disappointing. I won’t be booking this place again. When we drove around the area, there were so many nicer-looking hotels—we seriously should’ve stayed somewhere else.
It left a bad taste because it was supposed to be the final chapter of our honeymoon, and it genuinely felt like it ruined the mood.
