We were looking for simple hotel close to the airport and freeways for a short trip to LA. We knew it wasn’t a luxury one no fancy one, but I guess we all think cleanliness and safety must be out of the equation when choosing an Hotel. We arrived, had a short shower and left the place because we wanted to go sightseeing. When we get back, we found some.”funny” corpses at least three or four in the room. The resolution was that we were moved to another room in a different storey. We were definitely tired after a 12 our flight and eight hours wondering around LA - here was the only nice person in the whole situation that was nice and concerned about our well being - Omar, who showed more hospitality abilities than any of the managers or any staff of the Hotel, he told us he he was a maintenances staff - our deepest thanks for him. Obviously we noticed the next day that we have left some stuff behind when moved out, we asked the manager - who said he knew the situation, and besides not giving an excuse or explanation - didn’t let us get into the room to take what we left behind and “sent “ someone who says that was nothing there. After rough insistence we were finally given a copy of the keys, unless an act of magic in it all appear there.. But next day we’ve found the same “funny corpses in our new room in a different storey. Do you know that finding dead cockroaches is worse than finding live ones? In both cases they’ve been there long enough to get out of their shelters, but when they are dead, it reveals that the cleaning less of the room is really poor. We notified our travel agent about this, but the manager of the Hotel said that none of this was true and we were given - I I guess because we were super fun and nice - a bigger room out of the blue (who wants a bigger room when it’s infested in bugs). So the managerial staff on “Hotel Cookroach” it’s not only filthy, has no hospitality skills, but also treat guests as liars. They also do not know how to give excuses or at least FACE a problem. If you’ve gone this long , you must guess that we STRONGLY DO NOT recommend anyone to come to this hotel because of: incapable staff and also because it’s completely infested with cockroaches (we also found some on the pathways and common places of Hotel) Manager says “multiple staff” check but couldn’t find anything. Only staff that checked and confirmed IN OUR PRESENCE gave apologies and help us on moving to another room. (Why anyone would do that if there’s “nothing “? And also we came three times to the reception desk the following morning. First one we were given the key, second time someone was sent to check but “nothing” was found, and third time after asking harder - in very bad manners - we were given the key and we found our stuff.

The rooms are quite old and the hallway smells. Free parking and complimentary breakfast are a plus.

The rooms were clean and the staff was super friendly! The location and onsite parking was nice, too. The beds were okay- not uncomfortable but not super soft. Almost all of the doors to the rooms we saw, including ours, had like an entire inch gap between the floor and the door so it let in a ton of light at night and was quite noisy. We had to roll up a towel and shove it between the door and the floor. The breakfast was good, classic continental. I wouldn't not stay here again, but it wouldn't be my first choice. Price dependent, lol.

Went there over the summer. Ran out of hand soap and they never replaced it so we had to get some bar soap from the store but otherwise it was fantastic and we loved the stay. Probably going to book this place for all my future visits as well.
