I spoke with Todd the manager at Holiday Inn Express Lake Forest. He canceled our reservation but told me to contact Hotels.com and request a refund. He said he would confirm there were no charges if they called him. I didn’t expect any refund, but do to his assistance, we were given a full refund. Now that’s 5 Star Customer service. Thank you Todd!! Next time we will book directly with Holiday Inn Express Lake!!!

However, walking into the room on my first night, I could tell that Marcelina had taken great care to prepare me for my stay. My only complaint was that the pool was not working. I enjoy a relaxing swim after traveling. The breakfast was very nice, the cheese omelet was very cheesy and tasty.

- JTJody TrujilloDec 13, 20255.0Was blown away by how exceptionally clean the room was, thank you housekeeping staff! The bed was comfortable, and the Keurig coffee station was a great amenity. However, our room was closest to the road which was very noisy in the morning from commuters, and throughout the night we could hear every step from the floor above. Would recommend asking for a top floor room away from the road. All the employees we interacted with, including the manager Todd were courteous and helpful throughout our stay.
