  Breakfast selection was great. Hot tub didn't work first couple of nights. It was hot, no bubbles. After hot tub was fixed, not that powerful. Pool/hot tub need good cleaning/scrubbing. Had to constantly as for pool towels to be restocked. Got 2 bedroom Suite - just looked like normal size hotel room. Ocean view? Not sure why it's listed like that - not close enough for ocean view. One day without notice - workers on balcony and covered our screen door with plastic to work on the building. Alot of construction and noise. Housekeeping gave us new towels, but didn't even make beds. Overall nice area.

  The stay was fantastic! The staff was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the amenities were a nice bonus. Would definitely recommend!

  I can see how if you had one of the renovated rooms, your experience would drastically differ from the one my wife and I had. The entire section beneath us and some of the rooms down the hall were undergoing renovations. Our room had the look and smell of a $50 motel, which is not what you expect when spending much more for three nights or as a diamond elite member. There was stuff in the middle of the bathroom floor from the previous guests. The shower would fill with water since the grading was poorly done. As a result, we would have to use our feet constantly during and after every shower to push the water up into the drain. This is unacceptable that this has not been addressed in a room that has been around this long. There was putty used to fix previous wall damage, but it was never repainted. The room needs a thorough cleaning of every surface, but I expect they will renovate this room as well soon. On the bright side, there is enough parking for every guest, and you are very close to the beach and many good dining options. The staff did let me check in 45 mins early. It’s just hard to see the fairness in paying the current price for such a low quality room in the middle of all the ongoing construction (and accompanying constant noise that starts early) when there are better options.

  Location location, tile shower, location, garden room, location. Great location just a 5 minute walk to Windansea beach to watch sunset and surfers catching the last of the day. Also good walking distance to much of La Jolla, especially The Taco Stand on pearl. I loved the single floor section of the rooms in the garden where I stayed. The front desk staff even offered me a stamp to send my post card. Will stay again.

  Perfect place to stay. Close to everything. Walk to the beach in 7 minutes. Spacious rooms. Courtyard with pool and hot tum was very relaxing. There were tables inside and outside. The staff were great and very helpful. We would stay again i when we're here again.
