It was clean and modern with excellent amenities (pool, free breakfast, large screen TV, etc) and an AWESOME location, blocks from the beach and downtown La Jolla. My room even had a small terrace with a clear ocean view! I'm definitely staying here for future visits to San Diego!

It's a strange, outdated layout of random and disconnected buildings that are 2-3 floors each. Hard to find rooms. 2. Per the above. It's an older property. Paint slapped on top of paint, old fixtures, dated carpet in rooms, etc. 3. The fitness center was laughingly bad. It's a random bedroom sized room with 1 treadmill and 1 elliptical. It's got a basic dumbbell weight rack with no bench. Only a deflated yoga ball. It's right above the "lobby" so they mentioned like 5x's not to drop weights, so you have to tip toe around. The only redeeming quality was the breakfast. It's pretty legit.

I asked the receptionist for help, and instead of giving me a clear answer, she told me to go check the bathroom myself. I waited about 10 minutes trying to access it and couldn’t get in. When I went back to her, she casually said, “Oh, it’s out of order.” Then she told me that if I needed to use the restroom I would have to book a room. No apology, no urgency, no empathy. The lack of compassion toward someone heavily pregnant was unbelievable. A simple, honest answer or a little consideration could have spared me a lot of discomfort and stress. I strongly recommend avoiding this place if you expect even basic human decency or professionalism.
