Beautiful location. Large clean room. Friendly staff. Gift shop and restaurant on site. I would stay there again. There aren't a lot of restaurants in this area, but the Casino restaurant is priced okay.

You may want to consider this hotel due to its ideal location that is in the middle of the national park. There was a strange noise from the refrigerator in the room so we had to unplug it. Wi-Fi was pretty slow that day. Overall, it was a pleasant stay at this hotel.

Overall, Great location to the Redwoods NP and surrounding area. Room is spacious (King Bed, Accessible) and decent with a very bitter experience. Breakfast was standard hot options. Come for the location and if you are prepared to self clean and change linens if any accidents happena as there is no housekeeping after morning. Room: Spacious, clean. There was a smell that we got used to. But we have seen it in other hotels. So bearable. Pro: 1. Near Redwood NP central area. 2. Casino 3. Gift ship that sells food and drinks. 4. Standard breakfast. 5. Plenty of parking and safe. Cons 1. The room had a smell, but tolerable. Expected better for the price. 2. Not so confident on the room service cleaning as an alcoholic drink was left behind. 3. No proper guidance to customers from front office (read below on #2). The bitter experience: 1. The room refrigerator had a an alcoholic Mountain Dew, which was a downer especially, I was with a kid who was inquisitive of the drink. I did not make a fuzzy, just left the drink outside and requested room service to clear it. 2. The bed first night was dirty (due to us) requested the front desk for a linen change room service. I was requested to put the dirty towels in front of the door and hang a "Blue Tag (that read Not ready yet). I conformed showing a picture if this was the tag to put since it read not to disturb. The front office conformed. So, did what was asked and left for the day outing. Came back tired, to find the dirty towels were replaced with new ones in a trash bag and left outside the door with a sweet note (kudos to the cleaners). The rooms were not cleaned as requested (reason, I left the blue tag hanging which was requested). So I ask the front office to the linens. They mentioned that the house keeping is not available in the evening and they are the only ones available and need in the front office. So, requested for a room change so we can sleep in a clean room. We were infoemed that as the booking was from a 3rd party, they are not allowed to change room types. But despite their mistake and lack of training, they were not willing to accommodate. I was told that, they can provide the new sheets for us to replace. (Great, now have to clean the room and replace sheets in vacation).

They gave us a room with a very small old cheap TV. No cell service in the area, low quality towels and pillows. Would recommend to stay at a better hotel in Crescent City or Eureka then staying in this location.

Honestly, I'd probably rate the location 3.5/5 stars, but since it leaned more on the 4 side, I went with 4. Rooms weren't bad, though the top floor and my room had a really weird smell to it, almost like mildew or mold. Affected my allergies but I tolerated it. Food options were pretty good and the food itself was excellent. Staff on the food side were attentive and great. Casino was a nice touch and quite fun. Plenty of parking and overall a pretty convenient and safe spot. No safety concerns at all. I did mark off a full star for behavior of one of the attendees the morning we checked out. My friend asked if the gift shop was open as the door was open but sign showed closed. She was rather rude, and complaining about staff in either the restaurant or casino portion. A simple yes or no would have been sufficient. As a Platinum and former Diamond, I'm a bit shocked by the attitude of this individual. Overall still a good stay and worked well for what we were doing travel wise.
