I've stayed at this hotel a number of times and have a great experience every single time. The hotel is perfectly located in a quiet area. 20 min drive to the beach and can be in LA in about an hour. Not far from Disney at all. The real reason to stay here is the great staff and amazing restaurant! I would come to eat dinner here even if I wasn't staying as a guest. The food and drink menu are superb and always hits the spot. Last time there, Desi and Sophia were our servers and they were great! The breakfast crew was just as great. Gilbert went out of his way to fill my boyfriends to go cup with as much fresh black coffee needed for our drive home. Recommend this stay to anyone!

If you love motel 6 then this hotel won’t disappoint. First of all it’s gross. Staying here made me physically sick. No exaggeration. Within one hour of being in the hotel room I was congested and had a massive headache. The first room smelled like cat piss. The bathroom didn’t even have a counter top. The smell was so bad I was up all night and had to request to be moved to a different room. The second room was only slightly better. I still became sick within a short period of time. The service equally as bad.
In addition the rooms are so dated and the furniture is falling apart. Now let’s address the cleanliness factor. See photos….it’s disgusting. The photos I’m sharing below are of the second room I wish I’d taken photos of the other room it was even worse. Apparently every single room below level 7 is in post apocalypse condition, according to the staff.
Want to know how they made this experience better???? I can’t name one….they even questioned if I’d exceeded my daily limit of two complimentary waters immediately following having to repack my belongings, haul them to the lobby, get a new room assignment, and then haul everything back to my second room assignment. It’s a red flag when at check in they ask if you’ll “require”daily cleaning services. Seriously…isn’t that what the do not disturb sign is for??? Not at a Hilton hotel….cleaning is an added amenity. I travel a lot and I’ve finally learned my lesson for the last time! DO NOT stay at a Hilton hotel. I’ve stayed at plenty and even the ones in prime waterfront locations look like they’ve given up. Here’s a few lame last minute photos.

Beware of extra parking charges not in room rate. I selected hotel as an “all in cost” via CapitalOne travel. While booking the rate “magically” went up three times costing me approximately 10-15$ more per night. Finally the reservation went through.
Then I found out there is a $35 per night parking charge when I checked in. That sort of math would have changed my calculus of where to stay for the funeral I am in town for (for example NOT renting a car). Thankfully front desk staff gave me a discount.
At this point I was feeling nickel and dimed a bit. Sat in the in room chair and the upholstery looks like this…? Take that parking money and just swap the chair. Albeit this is the only item in the room that really needs work but still- paying $200 per night plus parking… cmon Hilton.
I do not have any Hilton or other hotel loyalty, but this does color my future Hilton group experience and choosing where to book.
