For a place to rest your head after a long day, this place will do in a pinch. However, as someone on a several days' stay, the room has some serious deficiencies at it's price point. First, as a frequent traveler, this place is the first hotel I've stayed at in at least 5 years that doesn't have smart TVs. No Netflix, no Paramount+, sorry. There's also no storage for items. No drawers, no closets. Not even a rack to put your suitcase on. But hey, there's a couch and a desk. Great for storing luggage and suit bags... Bad if you want to use them as furniture because that would mean your nice clothes would have to end up on the floor or hung up across the lampshades or some such. Stuff isn't all bad though. The rooms are quiet, spacious, albeit a bit spartan. The staff have all been friendly. The room's other amenities are passable... Neither great nor bad. Hey, it's got a toilet, single sink and a functional shower. The view out the window looks right into the window of another room. Great for peeping Toms... But that isn't my jam so we'll go with, "meh" and a self reminder to dress one's self before exiting the bathroom... Just in case that other person out my window does like the view.

⭐️ 1 Star — ADA Violations + Filthy Room + Urine Wake-Up Calls If you are a disabled traveler, service dog handler, or just someone who wants a clean room that doesn’t smell like URINE, please learn from my mistake and avoid the Hampton Inn in Goleta. This hotel managed to combine clear ADA violations with a room so dirty I’m genuinely stunned it carries the Hilton name. At check-in, I told the front desk employee I had a service animal. Instead of sticking to the only two ADA-approved questions (“Is it a service dog?” and “What task is it trained to perform?”), she launched into what felt like an interrogation. When I explained my dog performs DPT, she spent two full minutes clicking around—almost certainly Googling it—before confidently announcing that DPT “doesn’t qualify” and is “more emotional support.” For clarity: DPT is a trained psychiatric service dog task fully recognized under the ADA. It does qualify. Hotel staff don’t get to decide otherwise, especially not via a google search while you’re checking a guest in. She then told me she would “list my dog as a service animal this time,” as if ADA compliance is a personal favor. She also warned me not to leave my service animal alone in the room—another incorrect attempt to impose pet rules that do not apply to trained service dogs. And then… the room. It smelled like URINE the moment we walked in. Not a faint smell—an unmistakable, eye-watering, “someone actually let a…human?? …animal..??? pee in here” level smell. It was so DISGUSTING and strong that I woke up multiple times throughout the night because the scent kept hitting me in the face. The chairs had mystery crumbs. The surfaces were sticky. And after showering and getting into bed, both my partner and I broke out in hives. I didn’t expect a Hilton-branded hotel to give me a dermatological crisis and a night of urine-scent alerts, but here we are. All of this for $289 after taxes and fees. This was, without exaggeration, the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The Hilton name here is pure advertising—there is zero quality behind it. Disabled travelers and anyone who values cleanliness: keep driving.

Returning customer, on business, working in coastal area for many years and this hotel falls within the Hilton family and my LAST choice in the area. Every time I’ve stayed at this location I book on accident thinking I chose the Garden inn down the road. Each time I’ve had to wait at the lobby for over ten minutes to check in outside peak hours and each time I was behind one customer with a legitimate complaint such as undisclosed fees, parking, or other. If you’re in the area and can afford to drive I would drive to Buelton or Solvang before committing to this location. If you’re strapped for time, I would recommend going on the other side of the freeway. This location, the area surrounding I do not recommend walking anywhere after hours, this road in particular is kinda the “ghetto” of Goleta, and parts of it is unincorporated, meaning neither Santa Barbara or Goleta police or claim the territory. Hope this helps.
