We stayed here for four nights in February while visiting Disney and have stayed in the Garden Grove area several times before. On the positive side, the hotel is fairly conveniently located, parking was easy, and our room appeared clean. That said, both the room and the common areas felt a bit worn down. For example, our white toilet had a random pink flusher handle that didn’t match anything—it honestly looked like mismatched parts pulled together at the last minute.
The biggest issues we experienced were service-related. Before checking in, I messaged through the app around 2 PM requesting two extra blankets so they would be in the room when we arrived around 7 PM. They responded that the blankets would be delivered right away—but they never showed up as they were no where to be found when we checked in. After getting to the room, we called again and were told they’d be sent up immediately. Still nothing half an hour later. I tried calling housekeeping with no answer, then called the front desk. The front desk supervisor (who was very nice) ended up bringing them up himself. Either way, it shouldn’t take three requests over six hours to receive two blankets.
Another downside was breakfast pricing. Breakfast is $25 per person, or $20 (I think) with a coupon. At $80 per day if you are a family of four just for eggs and waffles, it felt overpriced, so we chose to eat elsewhere. Usually breakfast is free at most of the Hilton properties we stay at so this was a surprise.
Finally, and most frustrating for me as a marathon runner, was the fitness center. I specifically chose this hotel because the gym is advertised as being open 24 hours. On the first morning, all four treadmills were in use and six people were working out on the floor—so it was busy. And extremely hot. I checked the thermostat and found it set to 72 degrees?! With multiple treadmills running and a full room, the temperature had climbed well over 80 degrees. I tried to adjust the thermostat, which wouldn't go below 70, which is still far too warm for a gym. My gym at home sets the studio to 63. 72 is a nice temperature for the pool/sauna area, not the fitness center. The runner next to it even commented on how hot it was. We ended up propping the door open with weights just to get some airflow, which shouldn’t be necessary.
I reported the issue to the front desk and was told it would be fixed. When I returned the next day, do you think anything was actually fixed? Nope. I reported it again and asked for a manager to confirm once it was actually addressed. I was told he would call me back that morning. By 2 PM, I still hadn’t heard anything, so I followed up AGAIN. When he finally called, instead of doing what I asked - which was to call me and confirm that this had been fixed - he instead asked me to call him back—meaning I had to take time out of our Disney trip to chase down a problem that shouldn’t have existed in the first place.
He explained that the thermostat is on a timer and that the room isn’t cooled until around 9 AM??!. If the gym is open 24 hours, it should be usable and comfortable the entire time—especially since many people work out early in the morning. Turning on ventilation at 9 AM makes no sense. So basically there is no air coming in/out of the room until 9 AM, which is stuffy and uncomfortable. He assured me it would be addressed.
Any guesses on if it was actually addressed for day three? Of course not. Same issue. No air again. At that point, I let them know I’d be escalating the issue to corporate. I stay with Hilton frequently, and this level of follow-through was disappointing. Later that morning, a maintenance worker finally came in while I was finishing my workout in what felt more like a sauna than a fitness center. He checked the thermostat and mentioned the batteries were dead and needed replacing. Huh. Seems like that is something that could have been resolved days earlier?
Overall, the location is convenient, but the condition of the property and repeated service failures made this stay frustrating.

The hotel made unauthorized charges to my card without any explanation or justification. The service was also very poor.

We just returned from our trip and enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were amazing and so helpful, we do appreciate the hotel going the extra mile of providing cookies (at night) and coffee (even hot water) in the morning! The lobby is a great play to chill and talk to your loved ones during business trip, so I really enjoy it.
The bathroom tissue on the counter was artistically arrange like a flower, which breaks my heart to use them! T_T The first time our room was cleaned, I still see lots of hair left on the bathroom floors, however the next time it was cleaned, it was so much better. We understand with many guests checking in, room cleaning was such a stressed.

Contacted this hotel because of the price that I saw, very cheap and was looking forward to staying here, this hotel only allows 21 and up “because they have a bar” most hotels have a bar and most likely have things in place so people underage don’t get drinks, like having a 21+ id present when purchasing alcohol. In this day and age most “teenagers” as she called me (I am 20) are able to afford a hotel like this. When I said this policy was stupid she went on to say “yes you are” lady get a grip we are in the 21st century, if I was in any other country this wouldn’t be a problem. I am appalled to how I was spoken to over the phone, and you lost a customer in the future. I will be staying at the embassy unless they decide to change this STUPID policy. Davina I believe the manger was that I spoke to over the phone shame.
