  Sweet little stop on our way thru the most western part of northern CA. It is no easy feat to get to this quiet town. Take a moment to look up the history of Ft Bragg CA. This Holiday Inn is clean, offers a nice breakfast, and is staffed by thoughtful people proud of their town. They are happy to point out the spots to see (Glass Beach etc), but they may overlook the quaint nature of the town overall. When you are visiting from a big city, each little town nuance is adorable. I recommend visiting Ft Bragg CA, and if you have the opportunity to do so, stay overnight in the Holiday Inn Express as you explore the tranquil cities along Highway 1.

  Very disappointing stay in March. Emailed hotel with details and pictures requesting some kind of reimbursement but never received a response. Called the hotel directly and got rerouted to numerous places and ended up at customer relations, who said they couldn't do anything, because I didnt speak to the hotel. Only the hotel can apparently issue a refund or any type of reimbursement. All they could do is give me points, which honestly at this point I wont use. I explained that I tried to speak with the hotel directly but got nowhere. They had no other resolution. So if you have any issues make sure you resolve them before you leave the hotel otherwise you're out of luck. And if by chance someone from the Fort Bragg Holiday Inn is reviewing their reviews, Iwould still like to speak with someone.

  Overall a totally fine and serviceable hotel. Clean rooms, decent breakfast, polite and helpful staff. We would have had an absolutely fantastic stay but for the fact that their *** POOL IS OUT OF SERVICE & CLOSED **. Be ware if you are planning to stay here in the next few months. We went on a rainy weekend and were looking forward to giving our kids a chance to swim as an activity. Major disappointment that it was closed. Other than that, it was totally fine but what a bummer.

  UPDATE: I truly appreciate the manager’s response to my review. Their genuine attitude and openness to feedback are refreshing. It’s clear they take customer concerns seriously and are genuinely willing to address issues to improve the experience. Thank you for the follow-up! ORIGINAL: As an IHG Platinum Elite member, I am appalled by the sheer negligence during our recent stay and will not recommend this property to anyone traveling with family. First, there was zero notice on the IHG app (proven by screenshots) that the pool has been closed for five months, deeply disappointing my daughter. Furthermore, management failed to communicate a multi-day oven failure until the last minute, leaving guests without hot breakfast in the morning. The most unacceptable issue occurred overnight. When our 2-year-old became sick and woke up crying, the front desk pounded on our door—just as we finally soothed her. Instead of showing understanding, the staff shamed us for the noise of a sick, crying baby and issued a harsh "warning." Unbelievably, they knocked again later when she was barely fussing, waking us all over again. While we understand the neighbors' frustration, we are deeply disappointed by the subpar soundproofing and the staff’s utter lack of empathy for a family managing a sick toddler. This experience fell drastically below IHG standards.
