Nestled in Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley, among gently rolling hills and stunningly majestic vistas, The Farmhouse Inn welcomes you to an inspired escape.
I was really excited to stay here for a special celebration and quick getaway. It took a lot of coordination on our end: arranging childcare and other logistics, so we were looking forward to a seamless and relaxing experience.
Unfortunately, we were disappointed to find out that the dining restaurant was closed, which was actually the main reason I chose to book this property. That information wasn’t clearly communicated ahead of time.
The team did offer a complimentary breakfast, which we appreciated. However, we filled out the breakfast card with our order and requested delivery time, and it was never picked up. We had to call to follow up, and after doing so, we still waited about an hour, needing to call again to remind them.
Overall, the stay didn’t meet the expectations we had for such a special occasion. I hope this feedback is helpful for improving communication and service for future guests.

A wonderful stay! Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Try the new menu at the restaurant (no longer a prefix). The charred octopus and cold scallop dish were stand outs.

We had a great stay. Loved the room, the service, and the personell. Had 3 great meals. The chef was very visible and interested. Maddison is a phenomenal server. The location is very nice for exploring many local attractions.

If someone were to ask me the best meal that I’ve ever had in my life in all of my travels it is the rabbit chops here at the farmhouse Inn. It has been the top meal in my history for years at this point the memorable flavors from the first bites to the final dessert with fresh edible flowers. Every step of the meal was excellent. The server was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. He had a deep understanding of all the mother sauces that went into each dish that was prepared and even some history around why this restaurant serves their particular types of food and wine from the area an incredible experience, even if you’re not staying there it’s worth a drive to have a meal, especially the wine tasting dinner at the farmhouse Inn

Totally self inflicted. We were purposefully charged over $700 for a dinner for 4 and we supplied our own Alcohol. The culmination of our meal was unfortunately cut short at our desert being “sold out” 😬
Are you telling me you didn’t have a couple orders of ice cream hanging out in the fridge somewhere?
To tell us “sorry desert is gone, please leave now” A tip being given at any percentage is crazy at that point and the chef should be held personally responsible for not being able to control the contents of his kitchen….
from hero to 0 in the matter of moments.
Our waiter was not responsible at all for this atrocity . Just the victim of being the messenger. #Easily earned review
