    I had a very disappointing experience trying to book a room block for my family who will be in town to attend my wedding at the Embassy Suites in Downey. Over the course of more than a week, I called five separate times to reserve a room block for approximately 15 rooms. After finally being told it was set up, I was informed I would receive an email confirmation and booking link. I never received anything. When I called back to follow up, I repeatedly reached an automated call center outside the hotel and was unable to connect directly with on-site staff. During one of those calls, I provided my credit card information and was told the block was confirmed and policies were reviewed. Today, I finally reached someone at the hotel directly, only to be told there was no record of the room block at all. After explaining the situation, and saying I am considering booking elsewhere as this has been a nightmare trying to set up, I was told, “I think it’s good for you to book somewhere else since we cannot help you.” For an event requiring coordination and planning, this level of miscommunication and lack of follow-through is extremely concerning. I ultimately chose to book elsewhere due to the lack of reliability.

    BED BUGS and DIRTY ROOMS!!!! The only good thing about this place was the breakfast.  Otherwise you will be greeted with an extremely dirty room. The bathroom plumbing was horrible. Both the sink and tub drained slow, so you are washing in dirty water. We asked for service, but it didn't work. We were not offered a different room. However, I was scared to move to another room because a family had bedbugs in their room. The manager claimed to offer a two night credit for the inconvenience; however, would not response to my emails after not receiving the credit. PLEASE AVOID THIS HOTEL SPEND A LITTLE MORE AT NICER HOTEL!

    Its 10pm... almost 1030 pm on a Monday, and the hotel is allowing it to continue. No respect for their guest. I do not...DO NOT...recommend staying here. Update: Loud noise did not stop until 11:45pm. The hotel front desk did not care about the disturbance and essentially said "oh well" Update: Hotel management did end up reaching out and made things right. So I do appreciate that

    The place is old and the struggle to keep it up is noticeable. Very clean though and the service with a smile, breakfast and happy hour is great. Here when middle schoolers heading to Disneyland and high school choir were staying here. Forgot to call directly and ask if any events were going on. So it was noisy & crowded at times. Balcony was nice. No smart TV!

    This place is nice from the outside, but once you get to the room it turns into a motel 6! Our room smelt sooooo bad, the bathroom door had mold at the bottom, along with the air vents. Made my entire family sick! The floors and baseboards were SO dirty, it’s like no one cleaned it. Thank goodness the sheets were clean. If we wouldn’t have been so tired after our flight, we would’ve left.
