    2025.12.30~2026.1.3まで、家族5人で4泊した。宿泊予約サイト経由で5人で宿泊すると予約しているのに、1泊目にはタオルが2人分しかなく、2泊目には1人分、3泊目には2人分、最終日には部屋の掃除が行われていなかったため、前日に使ったタオルがそのまま置かれていて、当然未使用のタオルは置かれていなかった。 毎日毎日外出先からホテルに戻ると、まずはタオルの数を確認してからフロントに電話をかけて足りない分のタオルをくださいと言うのが日課になり、フロントが電話に出なかった2日間に関しては、わざわざフロントまで足を運んでタオルをくださいと言う羽目になった。 タオル以外には、2泊目にティッシュとトイレットペーパーが切れたため、やはりもらえないかとフロントに直接行って訴えたが、結局部屋にはいずれも届けられず。もうダメだなと諦めて、車に乗ってTARGETにわざわざ買いに行った。 部屋の掃除がされていないことについて1月2日にフロントに苦情を言ったところ、『この日はチェックアウトする人数がかなり多かったので(1月1日から宿泊した人々)、ハウスキーパーも忙しくて掃除をするのを忘れたのでしょう。』との言い訳を聞かされ、謝罪の一つもなし。忙しければ掃除をしなくても問題ないとは、さすがアメリカンクオリティーだなと渋々納得。 1月1日の夜は、深夜から翌朝まで上の階でどんちゃん騒ぎをしていたため、騒音はかなり酷かった。 滞在していた日々を通じて、部屋はいつもホコリまみれで汚く、シーツ交換だけはされていたものの、カーペットや床に掃除機をかけた様子は見られなかった。 チップは毎日10ドルを置いておいたが、『こんなに少ない金額だと掃除なんてとてもやってられない。』というスペイン語を話す授業員たちの意思表示なのかと思った。しかし、このクオリティーでこれ以上のチップを置こうとは全く思わなかったので、このホテルを選んだことがミスだったなと諦めたのが現状。 コインランドリーを使ってみたが、洗濯機はボロボロの古いタイプのもので、25セント硬貨を12枚入れるタイプ。乾燥機はやはりボロボロで、25セント硬貨を8枚入れるタイプのもの。乾燥機は1回では十分に乾かずに2回使用したため、結局洗濯機、乾燥機合わせて28枚の25セント硬貨を必要とすることになった。 多数の25セント硬貨は持ち合わせていなかったために、洗濯をしようと思った際に、両替してもらえないかとフロントに相談した。しかし、ホテルにもそんなにたくさんの25セント硬貨はないと言われ、2ドル分の8枚だけ両替してもらえた。残りの20枚の25セント硬貨を、買い物のおつりなどで確保するのにかなり苦労することになった。 ダウニーに滞在したのは初めてで、何度か滞在しているアナハイム周辺と比較するとやや治安は悪いか?といった印象ではあったが、ダウンタウンなどに出かけるのには便利な場所であった。 しかし、今回のホテルに関しては、今までに経験したことがないくらいに酷いレベルだなと思った。

    Unfortunately we cannot recommend Embassy suites Downey. We signed in under Hiltons honors app and we were greeted by an associate whom was very attentive and made us feel welcomed. We enjoyed the ambiance and rooms. Except the ice machines on every floor were out of order. The main issue was with the staff. We left a Pendleton shirt in the closet at check out and called hours later to report. We kept getting the run around and told to talk to house keeping. We left several messages yet never received a response. We talked to the front desk to let them know we were coming to pick it up , we were told not to come until we get confirmation they have it. Well it’s either in the closet still or housekeeping has it. Sad when you can’t trust a higher graded Hotel.

    A True Hilton Gem — Mr. Mudey Sets the Standard As a Lifetime Diamond member who has spent nearly two decades in and out of Hilton properties around the world, it takes a truly exceptional team member to stand out. This holiday season, while working through the holidays and away from home, Mr. Mudey did exactly that. From the moment I arrived, he made me feel genuinely welcomed, seen, and cared for — not just as a frequent guest, but as a person spending the holidays on the road. His warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail created a sense of comfort that I haven’t experienced in years. For the first time in a long time, I felt like I was home. Mr. Mudey is a credit to the Hilton brand and to this location specifically. His dedication embodies everything Hilton strives to deliver: hospitality with heart. Team members like him are the reason I’ve remained loyal for nearly 20 years. Hilton is fortunate to have him, and guests like me are even more fortunate to cross paths with someone who truly understands what hospitality means.

    Absolutely Terrible. Worst Service and Cleanliness This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The front desk staff were rude, careless, and completely unprofessional. There was zero customer service or basic respect. Housekeeping was unacceptable and disgusting. The floors were sticky, the bed had hair on it, and the room was clearly not cleaned properly if at all and bad smell.I travel constantly and have never seen housekeeping this bad. The staff appear untrained, unmanaged, and indifferent. Management should seriously consider firing the entire housekeeping team or replacing whoever is responsible for supervising them. On top of that, the air conditioning barely works. The room was uncomfortable, and you’ll need to bring your own fan if you want any relief and backup plan for the slowest internet ever. This property is dirty, poorly managed, and not worth the money. I would not recommend staying here under any circumstances.

    Stayed December 21, 2025 Mobile check-in was smooth, but the room was uncomfortably cold (around 63°F). After multiple attempts to reach staff via app and phone, we were told the heat only activates if the outside temperature drops below 55°F and isn’t controlled by the building. Options offered were moving rooms or using a space heater—neither practical with toddlers—so we settled for extra blankets. Later at the bar, service was great, but we noticed two large water bugs (roaches) in the seating area. The property feels very dated: windows collect heavy condensation, doors stick and squeak, and overall maintenance is lacking. This used to be the go-to hotel in Downey, but now it’s poorly maintained and far below Hilton standards I am use to seeing during work travel. I feel sorry for visitors coming from far locations without knowing (met many visitors from Europe and Asia going to Disneyland.) Also you have to pay $18/night for parking which is wild in Downey California it’s not a tourist destination.
