Great experience here; maintaining a high standard.
A top notch property with stunning views and nice amenities. I travel alot and this property stands out in my mind for being one of the nicer hotels in which is stayed. I wish I could have played the gold course, but ran out of time.
Tried the steak house and beach restaurant, both were excellent.

Waldorf, Monarch Beach is by far our favorite stay-cation hotel. The location is terrific with a convenient shuttle service to their Beach and restaurant. Their heated pool and jacuzzi definitely augment our relaxation. The staff, valet service and maid service is phenomenal and very accommodating.

My wife and I have stayed at the Waldorf Astoria several times, and each visit reminds us why we keep coming back. The service here is consistently outstanding — every member of the staff goes above and beyond to make sure your stay feels special, effortless, and personal. From check-in to check-out, you can tell that attention to detail and genuine hospitality are part of the culture.
A special mention goes to Bourbon Steak — without question, one of my top three restaurants in all of Southern California. The food is always perfectly prepared, the atmosphere elegant yet comfortable, and the service team is top-tier. Whether it’s a casual evening or a celebration, it never disappoints.
The Waldorf Astoria continues to set the standard for luxury and hospitality. We can’t wait for our next stay.

There’s nothing luxurious about discomfort disguised as prestige. The Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach feels like corporate American conference hell with a more-money-than-taste wedding chaser. Repeat 🔁
Sterile and soulless. The bed was so soft I had to request a rollout just to sleep properly. The staff are a bizarre mix of genuinely kind, lovely people and others who seem salty, hostile and allergic to courtesy.
The whole place hums with hollow opulence. Each event that orbits the guests is more miserable than the last.
There’s no creative calm here, only noise wrapped in marble. I left the property to find peace at a Starbucks, which tells you everything. One star, for the fountain I catch a glimpse of in the rearview mirror as I drive away.
Their TV mirroring is nothing but horrendous and if you do manage to connect it kicks you at will to an infomercial that is hosted by Mario from Saved by The Bell. Unbelievable.
Four more nights left here. Rarely do I wish my time away, but “can’t wait to leave” has never felt more true.
Update. I just want to add how utterly useless, dismissive and nonchalant the three (3) staff were on and around the concierge desk were at 1:45pm today 10.20.25. When I asked for help, they were so busy talking they shooed me away with a “sure it will be fine”. It was not.
And, in contrast, how wonderfully helpful Eric Reyes was just now at 9pm when assisting me with a new rollout bed. Eric should be training the concierge desk (+ its congregating staff) and guest services, in the art of hospitality. Be more Eric Reyes.
