The last 2 BW stays have been Horrible. ( Coos Bay and Clearlake) we decided to give it one more try. We are a laid back family tgat doesnt expact much. Just a safe comfortable room. The room was ok, bed was not too bad, location was good, but we lost power at 2am and there was no backup generator. If there was, it was not working. My wife, who uses a medical device to breath, woke up in a full panic which resulted in an anxiety attack. The rooms had no emergency lights which is required by state law. We called the office who did not answer, so we called the corporate number and a snarky lady said to us "why dont you just walk over there". We were in the middle of a huge storm and had to leave the room to the outside to get to the office. The Office would not let us in. So we used our cell phone lights to pack up and we left. We were unable to shower since there was no hot water or light, and we missed out on breakfast. When we got home, we called to speak to the manager. We were told they were busy and would call us back. We wanted to give them a chance to explain and make it right. We received no call back in 2 days. We have basically made up our minds that the 3rd time is a charm. We will not be staying at Best Westerns again.

The hot water only works at night in the morning it’s completely cold and won’t heat up. The toilet has serious plumbing issues, and we could hear the pipes loudly rattling. The pool is extremely cold and so heavily over-chlorinated that it’s unpleasant, and the hot tub actually burns your skin. The floors are filthy, and the breakfast was terrible it honestly felt like I was eating plastic. On top of that, we were placed in a room where the “view” was literally just a staircase. There was no view of anything else, which was especially disappointing. For a place called Best Western, this experience was incredibly disappointing. I’ve stayed at several hotels in Crescent City that are cheaper and far better maintained. Guests shouldn’t have to worry about whether the water will work in the morning, especially when paying high prices. Overall, it felt like a waste.

When visiting Crescent City, CA, I make it a point to stay at Best Western Plus Northwoods Inn along Redwood Highway, otherwise known as US 101. The Crescent City Marina is just a stones throw away. Places to dine are in close proximity that you can walk to many dine in spots. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfy. The rooms come with a club chair, work desk and swivel chair, small refrigerator, microwave and k-cup coffee maker, and of course a TV. Hotel staff are courteous and professional. A hot breakfast is included and the 2nd floor dining area has a great view. There is a gym as well as a laundry.

So I was passing through the town and it looked like the nicest place in town pool ,hot tub was nice the one thing that stood out the most was the evening receptionist was kinda rude and unprofessional while in the hot tub over Heard her complaining about her little amount of her paycheck for the two week pay period I was thinking that she should be happy that she has a job to go to unlike some people in that town but all in all the property was nice and clean and the breakfast was good and hot

Not for the holidays! I'm sure most of this was exacerbated by it being Dec 27th, so it's possible it's great during normal times, but the no hot water is why the rating is as low as it is. The good: Breakfast nook has a great view of the harbor Room was clean Beds were comfy Front desk staff was friendly The bad: No hot water. Last night the shower only got to quite chilly instead of actively freezing, and luckily this morning it got to tepid, bordering on chilly, so I'm guessing the owner cheaped out and bought an undersized heater assuming low occupancy rates. Definitely can't keep up if everyone is trying to shower at the same time. Broken Wi-Fi and spotty reception. Luckily this didn't particularly impact us, but if you need those things, be forewarned. Again, probably exacerbated by the holidays, but ran out of both eggs and sausage which I had to hear to poor breakfast staff explain like a dozen times since there was still quite a bit of breakfast left, but they said they physically didn't have any more. Also the cream cheese was still thoroughly frozen, each pod tauntingly displaying the instructions "DO NOT FREEZE" while hard as a rock.
