My inital entry to the room produced a nasty, mechanical screech from the door-closer hinge that pierces your ears, and it has, from visual evidence, been a problem for quite some time (pics). The hinge scrapes across the top of the door. When mentioned to the desk staff, the response was followed with a chuckle and a, "Yeah," as if it was a well known part of the environment.
Whay makes this noise particularly acute is the hardness of the room. There's a rapid echo that bounces off the walls as if it's a perfect standing wave. Adding to the cacophony, I can hear each and every stomp from the room upstairs. I can also hear the water from the flushing of the toilets as well.
The bathroom is one place you want as much light on your face as possible, which was aesthetically not chosen in this regard. (video)
Strange choice for the work space/desk. (pics) Looks like there's a desk lamp more adapted for European needs than that of a deep US west application. The closest power source to the desk is some three+ feet from the desk, unless you accept the sole USB-A port at the base of the lamp, or the USB-A ports under the TV some three+ feet in the opposite direction. And, there's no instruction to turn said lamp "on." I got lucky by randomly touching its base. THEN, did I discover that there is a "symbol" at the base.
You're not plugging into the USB-A port next to the bed for charging your favorite device because it can't be reached (pics and vid). It's broken.
Not all is bad.
There's an incorporated window shade that blocks out a major amount of light. Kudos should be afforded here. With light pollution invading many travelers sleep, this was a move that should be noted.
That said, a purpose built hotel next to a well-traveled highway and industrial railway should have more attention paid to sound-damping throughout.
Breakfast was standard fare. There's a sneeze guard over the serving trays, which is much appreciated. Unfortunately, the lids to the trays don't stay open while trying to retrieve the food, so two hands are required. I get the sense that the staff is used to the sound of slamming lids.
I got the first cup of coffee out of the dispenser. It was loaded with grounds. (pic)
Finally, we still can't get past one of the lamest tropes of hotel doors: Needing to place a towel at the bottom of the door to block the light pollution.

Bathroom had dirty floors. Not maintained. $13.60 fee for environmental initiatives?? Just a BS fee that didn't appear on booking site. Useful to be a really nice property, now just ok at best.

The employees were great and welcomed us. Only stayed the one night which was a bit expensive. And unfortunately it must have been busy because the room we were in had an air conditioner that kept us up all night…🥲. Also only gave us a towel each which I guess I could have requested more. But the 2 pillows that they had on the bed were so soft that your head just sunk down to the mattress. So my husband and I both woke up with stiff necks because we only had a pillow each 😩 Still a nice place to stay and it was clean, just had a couple maintenance issues. But would stay there again and give it another chance. Might request certain things when I check in now knowing what’s provided in the rooms. 🙂 Good variety of breakfast selections 😊
